Whether playing on one of our many play structures, the basketball court, tricycle path, or wide-open grassy space, your child will delight in being outdoors every day. We offer five play areas on over half an acre of land to keep your child engaged in learning as they get fresh air and play. My first grandbaby is why I opened this school.
As a former nurse and new grandma, I quickly saw that there wasn't the level of safety, love, and quality education we needed for his care. That little boy is now 17 and has recently been inducted into the National Honor Society. We believe in providing the same level of excellent education and care to each family that we would our own.

Services
Founder and owner Karen Braswell always worked in the service of children: as a NICU and pediatric nurse, home daycare operator, and Girl Scout Leader. She also raised three children of her own and understands the importance of securing a safe and nurturing environment for early learning, led by trustworthy teachers who instill good values and prepare children for their academic path.
More than half an acre of outdoor play nurtures wonder, builds bodies, boosts brains, and brings joy. Family-owned for a family feel, where you're understood and supported as parents who want the best for their child. Daily parent communication through our app, loop you in as our partners in your child's success.
Being family-owned means we can operate our business based on our family values. Our focus is on giving your child an excellent education and caring for them as if they were one of our family members. We work with your schedule for naps and feeding times that match your plan at home. Loving words, terms of endearment, and other familiar comforts from home build your baby's feelings of trust and security for our teachers.
Toddlers are full of energy and ready to zoom around. Getting outdoors and into our yard for younger kids is something we do every day so your child can master walking and running while they explore and get fresh air. Using the Love & Logic philosophy, our teachers treat students with respect, dignity, and compassion when helping them through tough moments, like meltdowns that toddlers are so famous for.
Our incredible playground has five different play areas that cover half an acre of land. With so many choices, from riding bikes to playing soccer, your child will get plenty of exercise and master many motor skills. We want to ease your worries about leaving your child in our care. We equip our property with security cameras and a state-of-the-art biometric entry system.

My child has been at CKA for almost 3 years. Every teacher and TA have been amazing. Any minor concerns that I’ve had were immediately addressed by the director/owner, Mandi. My child mimics the behaviors indicated in the lesson plans posted outside of the classroom, which demonstrates teachers are executing planned curriculum to meet learning objectives. I’ve observed many pre-k programs and teachers in San Antonio, and CKA is by far one of the cleanest, has the nicest staff and high-quality faculty, and all round is the best school for early childhood education. I should also mention great

TL;DR version: This place is amazing! We HIGHLY recommend Country Kids Academy. Everyone here has a passion for kids and takes amazing care of them. We have the same values and have agreed with every recommendation they've given us. We wouldn't take our baby girl anywhere else!
Extended version:
Our family absolutely adores Country Kids! Our experience began in Dec 2018 with a call to request information, and Lauren told us to come on by whenever. We didn't need to make an appointment, and there weren't any times that were off limits to drop in for a tour. Huge plus

My son has been at Country Kids Academy since he was 7 weeks old, he is now 5; there is no where else I would feel comfortable with him being. On a daily basis he surprises me with all that he has learned, I would recommend Country Kids Academy to anyone looking for a daycare or preschool. The teachers and administrators really care about the students and from what I can see, the students really love the teachers and administrators. I am so glad that I found this school!!!

After signing up our 1 year old to a bigger company, my wife went to drop her off and noticed many of the infants being unattended to with looks of boredom and loneliness on their cute little faces!
Somehow, we found Country Kids Academy, and they changed our lives forever!
Our daughter stayed there from 1, all the way through Pre-K and even for weeks over the summers afterwards.
As it was a success for us and our daughter, it was a no brainer to have our son go there when he was born, and he was in their care through Pre-K as well.

We've had our daughter at Country Kids Academy for nearly all of her 3 and a half years. Her older sisters even attended years ago! They have a great staff that is dedicated to both educating and improving the well being of the children there. They even have a pre-k program and we're happy to continue to have our girl go for another year before kindergarten. We've got nothing but good things to say about them, just an all around great program!

We have had our daughter at CKA for about 3 months and we are completely in love with this daycare! As a doctor in educational leadership, education is something I greatly value - especially the quality of education. Our daughter who is now 11 months old has made such great improvements in her motor skills, affinity for music and reading, and overall emotional intelligence. Her teachers are amazing and have an invested interest in my daughter's growth. They give me daily updates about what she learned and what they work on with her so that we can practice these skills at home. The lesson plans

Think Twice!!
Both of my children have gone to this daycare! We even left and came back , however, over the past 6 months we have seen the entire facility start to diminish. A new Director of Operations has taken over (she is the daughter in law to owner Karen.) Since her hire 4 amazing teachers have left and now Country Kids Academy is having trouble staffing their classrooms and is now using a temp agency to staff their rooms which are becoming over crowded classrooms.
This kind of turnover effects a child’s demeanor and their development. It has become very stressful for my 2 YO. He has

Parent - to -parent my best advice is to stay away and invest your time and money into another day care. I am a mother of two and have experience dealing with daycares from raising my 9-year-old. I recently had my second child this past year and enrolled my baby in Country Kids Academy. I was not impressed when I first took the tour and should have stuck by my gut feeling. I only proceeded with the registration because I knew an employee who worked there and thought that a familiar face would be comforting. The daycare is outdated, toys are dirty and the outside playground is nothing to be excited

We contacted Country Kids Academy 4-5 times before going in to enroll our children. We are a white couple and our children are both black. We were asked on the initial phone call if our children were potty trained. We explained that they are but have occasional accidents. This didn't seem like much of a problem. They still recommended we visit the school. We toured the school the week we relocated to San Antonio. Our children were not with us. They encouraged us to sign up several times. We were very honest about our children and all behavioral issues. We wanted to find a good school for our

We were in CKA for more than 4 years and we were delighted with the school. From the moment we started we felt in a professional environment that really cares for the healthy development of our daughter. Teachers really care about the kids. In this center they have the expertise to properly support the children in every face of growing up. We started with our daughter being a toddler and we left with a little child that was ready to face the kindergarten’s challenge (ex.she was learning to read !!!) . After leaving CKA seven month ago we're extremely happy that our daughter is doing great in

My wife and I love Country Kids Academy. Our kids started there at just 2 years of age and are now on the verge of going to Kindergarten. The staff is supportive, understanding, positive and caring. We have moved through different age class rooms throughout the years, The teachers in each room have all been so wonderful. We never worry about leaving them at school. Lori the director and Karen the owner are also great! My wife and I truly believe choosing this school was a good decision I don't know how we got so lucky to find such an amazing school. If they had Kindergarten here we would absolutely

After a long search for the right school for our son we decided on Country Kids Academy. We toured the school separately and were both under the impression that there were 11 kids to 1 teacher. There is a teacher and an assistant in each room. Turns out they consider the assistant a teacher too, so the class sizes are much bigger than they lead on. My son also began having stranger behaviors after only 2 days, I brought up these concerns and rather than offering to look into my concerns the Assistant Director Kelly, simply stated "two year olds do weird things". I got this same reply

I have been in the Early Child Care field for many years as a teacher and as an administrator and this school by far is almost like having your child at home. The staff are warm and welcoming and the Management team ensures that all standards are met and each family is treated with the best care possible. One other unique factor is that the owner is hands on and really loves the school and all the families that walk in the door each day. Staff turn over is very little, in fact the infant room teacher has been with the school for well over 10 years. In fact I would recomend anyone to go by for a
