Collar City Animal Hospital
Collar city animal hospital was originally founded as Lansingburgh Veterinary hospital in the 1970's and has provided continuous veterinary care to the community for over 40 years. In 2006, Dr. Kimberly Linendoll acquired the practice and since then has slowly modernized and evolved the practice into the current Collar City Animal Hospital.

In 2014, the practice was moved into a new, large, state of the art facility in a lovingly renovated 235 year old building (formerly the Old Daley Inn Restaurant) in the historic Lansingburgh district of Troy. We are a full-service animal hospital whose mission is to provide the highest standard of veterinary care for your all of your pets.
Services
Dr. Kimberly Linendoll, a native of Troy New York, graduated from the University of Albany with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature. After graduation she returned to Kentucky to complete a one-year surgery internship at Louisville Hospital met veterinary Hospital with emphasis on Emergency Medicine and Critical Care.

Dental care is an important part of your pet's wellness care, and professional dental treatments are among the most common procedures we perform for both cats and dogs. Vaccines are designed to trigger immune responses in pets and builds up their immunity system against future attacks by infections and disease-causing agents. Vaccines can either lessen the severity of the disease or prevent it entirely. Statistics prove that vaccinations can save your pet's life. In the last few years alone, millions of pets have been saved through the regular use of vaccinations.
In our laboratory, we are able to carefully conduct diagnostic testing, if your pet requires it, at times of emergency and illness, or during a preventive wellness exam. Our advanced diagnostic equipment allows us to obtain your pet's test results quickly so that we can provide fast, comprehensive treatment for your dog or cat.

Do NOT take your pet to this vet clinic, I called the other day because the cat I recently rescued was bleeding out and I called for assistance and advice and the receptionist cut me off, said she couldn’t help and then when I proceeded to ask if she had any recommendations or advice on where I could take the cat, she once again cut me off and said there was nothing she could do. I brought the cat to Boght Veterinary Clinic and they took her in the same day, she has 1-2 days left before she bled out completely and Boght saved this cats life.
I understand we are all facing a global crisis and

Last Friday I brought my two new puppies for their initial visit, they got their third distemper shot, my female was great, my male had an anaphylactic response to it, thank God, we were still there...they picked him up immediately took him back, started IV’s on him, gave him Epinephrine and steroids...Dr Linendoll was amazing she kept me informed… every step of the way....long story short, he is fine, he spent the day, when I went to pick him up he was cuddling on the lap of Karen one of the staff! The whole staff is amazing! Totally recommend this Vet!

I am not one to review businesses especially small businesses without first talking to the manager or owner, but in this case, potential and current clients must know. My cat has sereve anxiety but has had some skin issues going on. We have been trying to get into Collar City since about a year ago based upon a recommendation of a good friend. Yes… Pre-Covid. We been calling and understood the times being difficult and out of pure luck, we called the other day and they stated to bring him in this morning at 8:30. Per their instruction, we are in the car and make a phone call to which we

I can't say enough to recognize how awesome and caring Dr. Linendoll and the staff at Collar City were to my calico cat, Noodles and me. I moved to this area 3 years ago and meant to establish a new Vet but hadn't yet. Noodles is 18 and starting to slow down. Made an appointment with Collar City. Turned out she was in stage 2 renal/kidney failure. Dr Linendoll emailed and called me several times to help me make decisions. Noodles very quickly was failing and eventually the decision to send her over the Rainbow Bridge was made. Collar City treated Noodles and myself with extreme

Dr. Linendoll and the entire staff are fantastic! We would never entrust our fur family to any other vet, they are truly sensitive to every situation and share the same love and compassion for animals as we do! Our dog hates the vet and she tries to spend the time to make him comfortable, which many wouldn't bother doing.

The staff and Doctor Linendoll are compassionate, friendly, and take great care of my 5 cats, 3 of which were adopted from them. I have taken my babies to other practices but none compare to Collar City. They spend the time to make sure both you and your furry friend are cared for and that you understand what is needed to care for your pet!

No. No. No. I will never recommend Collar City. I was happy with the treatment my pets received initially & believe Dr. Linendoll had her best intentions in mind. But I & my two cats were "dismissed" from treatment because my one cat with hyperthyroidism was still getting so sick during treatment I felt I was poisoning her with an increasing dosage of thyroid medication. (I can not afford the $1000+ surgery to radiate her glands.)
Instead of giving me another script for her meds, because I wanted to keep her at a lower dose to try & make her comfortable & not vomiting

Dr. Linendoll is amazing! She's the only vet I bring my four kitties to see, barring an emergency. The prices are fair and her new office is breathtaking and comfy. All the vet techs are very friendly and complementary. The office runs on time, it's comfy cozy and your furry children will be well cared for!
