Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
Someone you love has died. You are now faced with the difficult, but important, need to mourn. Mourning is the open expression of your thoughts and feelings regarding the death and the person who died. It is an essential part of healing. The following articles provide many practical suggestions to help you move toward healing in your unique grief journey.
Most of us are not prepared to plan and carry out a funeral ceremony for someone we love. And so much of the information available on this critically important subject fails to focus on what is most important: having a personalized, meaningful funeral that helps families and friends begin the healing process of mourning after the death of someone we love.

I helped with the planning of my uncle's funeral. I had lost previously 2 family members. We worked with Angelina, the funeral director. She was wonderful to work with. This was the best experience I've had working with a funeral home. I don't know if I prefer to work with her because she was a woman or just because she is a caring person. No high pressure sales, no need to buy a hundred prayer cards. Helpful afterwards to the family. My uncle's funeral went as well as a funeral could. Angelina is truly an asset to this Funeral Home. The only thing I would prefer if they had the cheaper caskets

My mother passed away 5 days before Christmas. She passed rather quickly so since she and my stepfather were not from this area, my recommendation was to use Kevin's services..he knew my husbands family and we used them for both my mother in law and father in law. As we sat in the office, we were told that, due to past bad experiences with families, we would have to come up with at least half of the total charges. There was no question whatsoever that her insurance policy had more than enough to cover the expenses.. we sat there not quite sure as to why the normal way of handling expenses was not

WB Funeral Home has handled any funerals held for my family for many, many years. The most recent being my father a couple of weeks ago. You could not ask for a kinder, more caring home to handle such a difficult time. Kevin Bernhardt is so very nice, and walks you through everything that needs to be done. His father is also a very nice, kind man. I wouldn't chose any other funeral home to handle my loved one's passing
