Well if you asked me 20 years ago what I would be doing now I definitely wouldn't have said be a photographer! What I thought I always truly wanted was to be a Police officer. I started working in Public Safety In 1993 as a Police Dispatcher and continued on this journey expanding my knowledge and training to 911, Police, Fire and Ems Dispatcher.
I would like to first give you a little background about my knowledge of photographing, posing and safety of newborns. I have been taught and certified by some of the worlds most prestigious, talented and well know photographers around the world. Including but not limited to Heidi Hope, Nicole Smith, Kelly Brown, Julia Kelleher and Ana Brandt just to name some.
Mini Portrait Sessions = $225 25 minute session includes 10 digital high resolution images in a downloadable gallery. Full Portrait sessions- $275 35 min session 25 edited high resolution digital images in downloadable gallery. Maternity Sessions- $275 includes 10 digital images high resolution edited in downloadable gallery.

My experience with Shannon went from great to downhill very quickly. The services promised were not completed throughout and that’s where communication went array. Every response from her was emotional and defensive. In the end, our pictures were never mailed to us as stated and the correspondence was too dramatic for my liking.
When I booked this session with Shannon, it was last minute and was also very affordable, so I jumped on the chance. Lesson learned that you get what you pay for. In the future I will only book someone with contracts. Everything seemed to be one sided on how and when

I'm not surprised to see my sister isn't the only one who has experienced poor customer service from "Through My Lenz Photography." My sister had scheduled a holiday mini session for her daughter and brought my son to take holiday pictures together. After two weeks and my sister having to email the photographer wondering where the pictures were, (she was told one week) she was finally able to see them. There were pictures of Kali and some of the two kids, but the ones of my son were apparently not included with the holiday session because he is a separate family member. Give me a break, it is two

Shannon did my daughters cake smash and the photos came out so great! Shannon has been nothing but friendly to my family and me. I got to see the pictures in less than 1 day! I absolutely love how they came out and want to order a print but it is so hard to just choose one! I just booked my kids christmas photos with her and I cannot wait to see them!

Very bad experience - I'm disappointed with this photographer and the service. We paid upfront (mistake!) for two shoots and were only able to coordinate one, so we lost half our payment. We discovered later the "special" rate we paid was higher than the rate posted on her website! Worse was simply the lack of professionalism and hostile attitude. Clearly an amateur, not ready to run a customer service business. Do not become a victim!

Shannon is the most unprofessional person I have ever met. She tells me at my wedding the pictures will take 3 weeks, 3 months later I don't even get everything I was told was in my package that was an $1700 gift from. My uncle and the cover of my wedding album was the worst picture she probably took and had the JP making a weird and gross face..so she put it on the cover! I am absolutely discusted to the point I want a refund and she can have her awful trash back. I'd rather make my own book that won't cost the $500 she charges for something I could've done myself at cvs.

Extremely difficult to work with. I went to a professional so photos could be taken that capture moments at the right time not to get photos with all the imperfections that I get when taking them myself. Don't dare ask questions about your photos either or you will be met with hostility. Very unhappy with the customer service, "professionalism," and poor quality of the actual photos and the photo content.
