Dr Caliri has been in practice since 1986 after completing her General Practice Residency at the VA Medical center in San Francisco. She has dedicated herself to providing optimal health and aesthetics by constant continuing education in the advanced studies of restorative and cosmetic dentistry, bite analysis and the use of minimally invasive techniques.
Dr Caliri is proud to be an alumni of the Pankey Institute, as well as the Academy of Cosmetic and Adhesive Dentistry. She is a part time instructor at the Arthur A. Dugoni, UOP School of Dentistry where she has an opportunity to contribute her skills and knowledge to the dentists of tomorrow.

My whole family and numerous friends have been clients of Dr Caliris for 20+ years. She and her staff run a well coordinated business, apparently focused on the experience of the client. Simone In particular- but the full staff more generally- is consistently competent and friendly, always asking about family and helping us to understand insurance to the extent she's able.
Dr. Caliri's office has its own dedicated parking lot next to the building on Dwight Way (across from Bayer Corporation). Dr. Caliri is a fantastic, caring, professional who is also an artist and an educator. She and her staff are warm, attentive and careful. They enjoy explaining things so if there's anything you want to know about dentistry, just ask. You'll be more knowledgeable when you leave than when you arrived! Dr. Caliri, on my first visit with her, seemed kind, interested, positive about my mouth and the care I had taken of it. I had neck surgery recently and so was unable to see the hygienist for a period of time. I had actually worked extra hard on my own mouth hygiene. She seem to appreciate that. Further, I could tell that she was highly experienced, in the way that when she was looking at every single tooth of mine and having her assistant note them down, she would say as an aside to me about a certain filling

I have been seeing Dr. Caliri for so many years I can't even count. She has always been kind, personable, excellent in her technique, communicative and empowering. She has made important recommendations to me about my teeth, has referred me to excellent dentists who do things that she doesn't do, and has held my delicate dental needs with respect and attention.

My family and I have been going to Dr. Caliri's office for over 5 years now. We were recommended to her office when we moved here by a friend who has been seeing her for 20+ years. Best visit to a dentist office that I can remember. I'd describe Dr. Caliri and her entire staff as competent, knowledgeable, and personable. I am a new patient. Having not been to the dentist in years, I needed two visits to complete my first cleaning and address a small cavity. Both of my visits were efficient and comfortable. I felt cared for and I noticed that the folks there learned my name since my first visit a week ago. You can even tell that the staff support eachother. I'm one of these folks who has avoided the dentist most of their lives at the cost of their smile. When Dr. Caliri saw me, my mouth was a mess, including front teeth broken in a bike accident. I'd already gotten an estimate from another local dentist that was unaffordable for me. Dr. Caliri came up with a plan, showed me what she was going to do on a scale model of my own mouth, as well as what we might do later, and then executed that plan for only half of what the other dentist wanted. I'm thrilled with my new mouth, and it's made a huge difference in my enjoyment of food and of life in general

I have been visiting Dr Caliri for many years and have always received professional and excellent service. I've had many dental issues and she and her staff have always tried to work with me in scheduling appts. One of here hygienists is very good and also professional. As I've been a patient of Dr Caliri's for many years , Ive gotten to know the staff (yes sometimes changing but that is life) and have small talk about our lives which makes it a comforting and relaxing environment (given it is a dental appt). I hate going to the dentist. I turn into a nervous wreck! I'm really glad that I went to see Dr. Caliri for my latest treatments. Dr. Caliri is very friendly, and willing to go out of her way to make me feel comfortable knowing I was a nervous patient. I was lucky enough to be referred to Dr Caliri by some former co-workers. Given my dental history on the east coast I was skeptical of any Mickey Mouse California dentist... but was pleasantly surprised by Dr Caliri's personable nature, excellent and skilled staff, and willingness to work with my needs and within my budget. Dental care is expensive, yes, and in the Bay Area perhaps even moreso, but I trust Dr Caliri's judgment completely.

My family and I were horribly mistreated by Dr. Caliri and her staff. I was one of Dr. Caliri's very first patients when she was on University Ave, in the early '90's, when we had to run up and down 3 flights of steps to fill meters. I took my five children to her, and referred her to many other families. I agreed to be 'on call' with the office if there were patient no shows, and was always prompt in getting my kids to her if we got a sudden call.
After several years of using her, we went to London for several months and when we returned, Caliri had totally forgotten

Best dentist in town. My family and I have seen Susan Caliri for many years and we would never even think about going anywhere else. The all-women staff is superbly organized, friendly, and the dental office is super clean. It is always a pleasure to go there, starting with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Dr Caliri does fillings, crowns, bridges and similar, but not extractions or surgery, to my knowledge. There are a number of hygenists; I usually see Jerrylin; she is absolutely fantastic, careful and detail-oriented. Highly recommended.

I've been seeing Dr. Caliri for 4 years. I have only gotten fillings and cleanings. She is very good, the staff is professional, and the dental hygienists are great. I am also impressed by their meticulous record keeping and the equipment (small x-ray machines).
Additionally, her office is down the street from Berkeley Ironworks (the climbing gym) so you can have your teeth cleaned and then go climbing.
Highly recommend.

Susan Caliri has been my dentist for more than 15 years. She is always available and makes it a priority for her patients to feel comfortable, cared for and understood. Her staff are also outstanding; one feels a bit like "Cheers" when interacting with her and the staff, in that, I always feel known and cared for the minute we talk on the phone or I show up at the office for an appointment. Thorough, skilled, warm, on time, professional, up-to-date with technology, they care about your dental, physical and mental health! One dental hygienist has a toothpaste collection from around the world, and plays Hawaiian music while you get your teeth shined (or the music of your choice!). Dr. Caliri and her staff are fantastic. I have been going there for about a decade -- they do great work, small or complicated. The nicest dental staff I have ever worked with, and I can tell she cares about me as a patient -- she called me over Christmas once when I was having an issue that ended up needing a root canal!
