Prices were too high for the average service and results I received. My stylist may have been training or maybe an intern they have??

Cameron was fantastic! The head and neck massage were certainly a plus. Before she picked up the scissors, she listened intently on my past hairstyles and specifically how I want it cut. She started small and worked her way up to the length that I liked. I really appreciated that. She also took her time shampooing, drying, and styling. I'll never be able to get my hair to look like that again. Cameron does amazing work, and she's a great conversationalist, which is the cherry on top. It was my first time visiting Lux Bar and Cameron, but it will definitely not be the last!

Lux is located in The Beaumont Shops just across from Brew Burger. I have been a loyal customer of Lux Hair Bar for years. In fact, I knew Nikki and Justin before they took the entrepreneurial plunge!
Lux is an Aveda Salon, which soooo many of the ladies like! I have even become a convert and stopped using hotel shampoo accumulated through business travel (You're welcome Nikki).
When you walk in you will be greeted by Tia and notice the bright open design and the hair bar where the color magic happens. After you are taken back you will receive a short massage and then be whisked back to

Caitlin does my hair and she is so good at what she does. I have never (like NEVER) have trusted anyone to do my hair. However, with her expertise and advice I have had her color, style, and even cut it short (much to my hesitation but am obsessed). I have loved every look that she has given me, and always receive loads of compliments. If you need help with curling, styling, hair care, etc. Caitlin is knowledgable and happy to help. I recently moved away but prioritized getting my hair done during my most recent trip

When I walk into Lux Hair Bar it feels like the outside world melts away. I instantly feel relaxed and ready for pampering. The staff are all very friendly and great at what they do. Everything is always clean and sanitary. Every time Caitlin does my hair I leave the salon feeling like a new person. She nails it every time! Her color is on point and her cuts are phenomenal. They also always have the products I need in stock. I highly recommend Lux for a relaxing and amazing experience. Thank you Caitlin!

This place is so fantastic. I am new-ish to Lexington, and don't live here full time. I've been having a hard time finding a salon that I like in Lexington. Then I went to Lux Hair Bar this morning, and I am SO HAPPY with my hair. Nikki did my hair exactly how I wanted it. It's been over a year since I've been happy with my hair, and now I finally feel like I found my place. The rest of the staff was super friendly, and the place is really cute and convenient. I'm recommending this salon to all my Lex friends. I'm certainly going back.

My hairdresser moved away and I was devastated. I have known one of the stylists for many years, and finally had the opportunity to try her out. She cut my hair exactly how I imagined it. The color is subtle and perfect. My hair didn't feel damaged afterwards. It's pricey BUT it's worth the price to feel comfortable and HAPPY with my hair.

I have been coming to Lux since they opened. I followed owner Justin Greer here. The salon and stylists are all amazing. They are accommodating and up to date on the latest trends. They take continuing education very seriously. While I routinely come to Justin, I would trust any of the stylists to step in. The atmosphere is welcoming and I always enjoy my visits here.

Very disappointed with my cut. I think I could have gotten the same cut anywhere else for alot less. And the fact that is was an Aveda salon was surprising because it did not feel calm and relaxing, in fact it seemed rushed. My appointment was only 35 minutes long, which is the shortest time Ive ever spent to get my hair done. There was no good scalp massage like most places, the person that did my hair had no communication with me at all as far as what was done to my hair. Honestly, I could have had a friend do my hair because all that was done was trimming, not textures no layers no thinning

So, here's the deal. I'm a salon hopper. Not by choice. I've taken all those Buzzfeed quizzes and they pretty confirm that I hate people. No, really. I hate making appointments, chit chat, all that time in foils, ugh. Then, maybe I get comfortable and find someone and BAM she breaks her back. No, really. This happened in real life people. So, I'm screwed. I asked the people (I don't hate) for recommendations bc I was ready to box color & self cut via Pinterest tips. I LOVE Stephanie! This is a fairly new salon that is owned by some of the most passionate stylists you will ever meet. I have been a client of one of the owners/stylists , Nikki, for almost 3 years now and, this is the longest commitment I have had to any stylist! All the staff are very friendly and ready to take care of your hair needs. The salon is small yet has a very open layout with modern/rustic decorations. It's definitely the place to try if you want a stylist who will listen to your hair needs.
