Lots of local restaurants have fallen in quality recently. Ichiban has held up. I can't remember any trip to Ichiban in the past 10-15 years where I was
disappointed. The quality of food and service has always been worthy of my time and money. Lots of good sushi. Hibachi at Ichiban is the best I've had.

Love this restaurant. Food is great. my only complaint, is that you cannot reserve seats. Hate driving 30-45 minutes to get there just to be told there is an hour wait time. You guys should really consider having a queue/reservation system, having to deal with this all the time is causing my family to look for other places to have lunch.

Best sushi place in Baton Rouge. My fiance and I just moved from BR to Orlando, and I can't tell you how much I miss eating here. I've gone to many different restaurants trying to find something comparable in Orlando and I have yet to find anything that comes close. My favorite rolls are the salmon zest and the mango tango. Their cosmo is great too. We went almost every week.

The food, wait staff, and hibachi chef are all wonderful. However, the hostess staff and method of getting to a table is beyond horrible. They tell you on the phone that they do not take reservations. Their website clearly states that they do. What they do allow is for someone to come two hours early, put their name on the list, and then come back… for the time, which IS a reservation. Then they give you a website to check your place in line only to find that it allows you to cancel your place or view the menu. You are unable to check your place on the waitlist.

I waited over 30 minutes after I was seated with no water or anything. I asked for my waitress twice and she never came(Elisa) so Paige took my order. I asked could I sit at the hibachi grill table and was… denied therefore I had no choice but to order shrimp/ chicken fried rice. This was my first visit here and I was truly looking forward to having a great experience. I will not go back if this is how you treat people. It was like noone cared I was there I felt invisible after multiple waitress walked by. The best thing I had was the pineapple Sake'. Thank you Paige for your hospitality

I’ve been to Ichiban about 5 times this last month. That’s how good it is. The sushi is delicious and filling and it’s very flavorful. I also love the sauces!

Ichiban is now one of my favorite restaurants. I totally recommend the Miami Roll and the Sushi Egg Rolls. Both are wonderful creations sent from the heavens. 5/5 stars. Highly recommend.

Very pleasing experience, nice clean place, happy courteous wait staff, ultra fast service, what more could you ask for?
Sushi came out less than 5 min after I ordered. I was in and out in 30 min at 7pm. Bill was 30 bucks. No drinks just 3 rolls.
Loved the tuck and roll roll, it’s the fried one with soft shell crab and spicy tuna and asparagus. So good!
The yellowtail naturo(sp?) it’s the cucumber wrapped roll with Kani on top. Good refreshing no rice roll.
Last was Miami roll had mango, couldn’t really taste it the mango but still a good roll. Would definitely go back just for the quickness

This place is delicious! Best quality nigiri I've ever had, hands down. The unaju/unagi donburi (pictured) was awesome! I'm craving it again right now, actually! Everything about the place was awesome. The staff was working very hard, and the servers were all so friendly and sweet. This place is amazing! Come here, and tip well!

Worst service and miserable experience. My wife, myself and our 5 year old boy had to wait 2 hours for our food until 9 pm on a Sunday! First 15 minutes no one showed up to take the order. Then a busser came… and took our order and served the drinks. He clearly didn’t clean himself before that and his dress was totally inappropriate. After 1 and half hour when the food was not ready, I checked with several people, finally the manager said they lost our ticket. No one apologized at that point. The manager just said they were short handed. My wife and kid had to use the restroom. That

After dining here on numerous occasions and let’s not mention the take out! Today I was bringing my daughter her for her 9th Birthday! Customer Service is EVERYTHING THING TO ME! And after today I will never patronize here again. The hostess rude to the core as if we were not supposed to be here! After waiting 45 minutes to be told oh we can’t seat you until 7pm. Ok so why didn’t you say so 30 minutes ago it’s 5pm! Again CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EVERYTHING!!!!

Nice hibachi restaurant for lunch! We went here for lunch on Sunday and we got sat within 2 minutes of getting in. We both got the steak fried rice with clear soup and a snow crab salad. The crab salad was okay - there was too much sauce. The fried rice and steak were very good. The service was friendly and fast. Our chef was very friendly and funny - he kept saying his catch phrase, “oh la la”. We like the place and we will definitely come back if we ever want hibachi close to home.
