Hostess was very rude. We entered and she asked how many was in our party. I told her 7 and she said "well y'all are just gonna have to wait because we are changing shifts" There were maybe 20 people in the whole restaurant and they kept telling everyone it would be at least 30 minutes before they could be seated!?! When we finally got seated, our waiter was adequate after he finally acknowledged we were there. Food was just ok. Not nearly as good as other Tex-mex restaurants in LC but the margaritas were awesome

Not your typical Mexican Restaurant. The servers and wait staff were all dressed nicely and in the same attire. The waitress was attentive and polite and answered all of our questions. She kept our drinks full and would ask if we needed anything else. The interior decorations were pleasant. Not all the bright colors you would typically expect in a Mexican restaurant. The food came out in a timely manner. The food presentation was very appealing. My wife had the chimichangas it was fried perfectly and the toppings were arranged with detail. I had the shrimp and crawfish burrito again the toppings

Went to Casa Manana tonight, 11/20/2021. We ordered 2 sweet teas. They both tasted like water. Waitrees exchanged for cokes, We made our orders, one street taco with chicken and baja tacos with GRILLED fish. when we got our food I told the server that my fork was dirty could I get another one. He said so it was like that when you got it? DUH. the baja tacos had FRIED fish .not GRILLED like we ordered. Never did get the clean fork . The service has gone way down. Won't be going back to there for awhile. before you say they were short handed, everybody is. I work public service, i would not

The service was awful, waiting almost 15min before our server came to take our drink order. We ordered queso dip, when it finally came it was cold. My entree was cold as well. I asked for a spoon and my server told me to reach for one at another table. Worst experience ever. Needless to say I won't be going back.

Casa MaƱana is a classic that never disappoints. Got this chicken enchiladas this time around and so tasty. Probably the best TexMex restaurant in Lake Charles. It really doesnāt matter what you order itāll be delicious. Enough to have some for lunch the next day. Service is always fast, food is always hot. Also try the prickly pear margs 10/10 Thursdays are bogo free margs Iāll see you there this Thursday.

Listen, Tex-Mex is just comfort food to me. I've been eating here since I was a kid (cheese puff, anyone?) and I always stop in/pickup an order while I'm in town. I have literally had dreams about Casa Manana's queso. I wish I were kidding, but cheese is my favorite food.
A few weeks ago a friend picked up Casa for us on his way back to Sulphur. He likes the grilled firecrackers and I prefer them in quesadilla form but we both agree they're one of the best things on the menu. I wish I could say that I'd try something new, but that would only happen if I moved home

How do you find the words to critique a "local eats" restaurant during these times? You go by your experience in your dealings with them. So if I could give less than one star, that's what I would do. What would you say about a business that doesn't honor a price advertised on Facebook? "Oh that was only good for last week." is their defense, even after being shown screen shots of the posts that don't make any mention of the sale price being good for only one day. I'll never spend a penny in this place again.

Cozy mexican-style restaurant. Also has bar seating available away from regular dining areas. Good variety of menu items- tacos, enchiladas, burritos, etc. Sometimes the food can be rich in taste, but i still find myself going back for their tacos with house made shells and queso. Waitress was nice and attentive. You may also place to-go orders, which are available to pick up on the backside of the building if you call the order in. I ordered nachos on this particular day, just wish they had placed more chips under the "goodie" (had about 7-9 chips), but was an easy fix by using the chips already

This is one of the best places to eat in Lake Charles! We have eaten here ever since it opened! We "raised" our kids here and now that they are in their 40's they still pick Casa Manana for their birthday dinners! After Hurricane Rita, Casa Manana was one of the first places to reopen. We'd work all day to restore our homes and end up at Casa for their ice cold Margaritas. They have recently taken out all the old carpeting and replaced it with tile. A much needed renovation. The food here is always good. A great place to eat and visit with friends!

I'm shocked by these reviews! No offense to these reviewers, but I strongly beg to differ! Casa Manana is an iconic restaurant in Lake Charles, and they've been in business for at least 30 years. You don't stay in business for that long if you're not a great restaurant! They've always been constantly busy, and their food is homemade and phenomenal! No one has better margaritas, chips, salsa, steak, shrimp, and everything fajitas. They have a vast menu, and I've never had a bad meal or experience there. In my opinion no other Mexican restaurant comes even close

My order was wrong. I asked for grilled fish tacos and I the fish was fried. Told server to let the kitchen know and never got a response back. I ate the tacos because I didn't want to deal with waiting on replacement. To add insult to injury, they up charged my bill 4 percent without permission because I paid with credit card. Not the pleasant experience I remember from coming here for years in the past. Too bad.

I was visiting the area for the weekend and heard this place was amazing by locals! We first ordered queso and a margarita. The "queso" looked and tasted like they stuck velveeta in the microwave for 30 seconds. Mind you I was finally able to try it 5 minutes after when they brought us chips. We ate two bites and quit because it was disgusting. The margarita was mixed terribly, the nastiest sour mixed with water, no way did it have tequila. I usually always finish my alcoholic beverages because what a waste of money, but I only had 3 sips and had to tap out. For dinner, I got the Baja

Usually, I like to write long, detailed reviews, but in the case of Casa MaƱana, I don't feel like I really need to. I've come here numerous times over the past year, and I've never been disappointed. There are so many options to choose from, and personally, I find myself always going back to one option: the boudin quesadilla. An odd twist on a traditional dish, it has a nice touch that mixes the local cuisine of southern Louisiana with the Mexican cuisine that Casa serves. Call me crazy, but it goes great with ranch, and it's one of my biggest guilty pleasures. On two occasions

Ate here today after a brief break and wasn't what I've come to expect.
Had enchiladas from the lunch menu and they were bland and just to get to the point- not good.
CCQ was good- a little thicker than usual- ok a lot thicker than usual.
Our server was a little off putting as well- to the point of being a creeper. Didn't catch his name as I paid and left.
Less interaction the better.
And as is always the case- too much staff just lingering and visiting with each other.
I'll be back for sure- I'll just wait a little while.

I remember when this place used to be good. When they used to do margarita specials during the week and when the queso puff was actually a puff and not some tortilla flash fried.
This place has been open for years and since Hurricane Rita, this food quality here has gone wayyyyyyyyy down hill. They are now over staffed and over priced. You will have no less than 5 different people handling your table, yet it will take just as long with one person. One person to take your order, then a drink person, then a chip person, then a food runner.
The only thing decent here is the chips and salsa, which

When was the last time you've eaten at a Mexican Restaurant that has been operating in the same location continuously for 38 Years? You can not accomplish this feat unless you are doing something right. This could be one of the best Mexican restaurants you'll ever visit sure it's not authentic Mexican fare so don't confuse the two but I've eaten here from day one and it's an iconic fixture in Lake Charles and earns a right to be recognized along side of other iconic restaurants in the area because fortunately there are a number of restaurants that reaches this level
