Dental Radiographs: At GVH, full mouth radiographs (x-rays) are taken on every patient. Dental radiographs are the most important diagnostic tool used in canine and feline dentistry. By not taking dental radiographs, we are only getting a portion of what is going on with the teeth. Every patient MUST have them in order to perform a complete oral assessment.
Gallatin Veterinary Hospital offers a full range of internal medicine services for dogs and cats. Digital Radiography - Digital x-rays are far superior to conventional x-rays for obtaining the detailed images necessary to make difficult diagnoses. Because they are digital, we can e-mail them to a board-certified radiologist to read and review.
We offer in house ultrasound of the abdomen to evaluate internal organs. This can help us diagnose your pet's medical condition without the trauma of surgery. We also refer more extensive ultrasounds and echocardiograms to Montana Vet Specialists in Helena. Radiographs (or x-rays) are a wonderful diagnostic tool for orthopedic trauma or disease, as well as some soft tissue problems.

Drove here from Butte. My 12 year old Labrador had laryngeal paralysis and couldn’t breathe. They did some tests and also found a mass on his kidney during the visit. Instead of telling us they wouldn’t do a procedure for him because of this cancer and his age, they had us dope him up and put him through the ringer driving to Helena for more imaging, then promptly told us that they wouldn’t help him and it would only give him a year to live anyway. I had to give him my own lorazepam just to keep him breathing. He suffocated in my back yard six weeks later. Shame on you, Dr. Clouse.

These are genuinely caring and wonderful people. My large dog is constantly hurting himself or picking up the latest bug going around. The staff is always detailed in their explanations and in terms I can understand. They always follow up to see how my pups are doing after visits that required X-rays or other procedures. For the most part they’ve been able to handle much of my pups issues in house but have a network of specialist they send me to when it’s needed. Their wellness program saves me money and their online appointment system is so convenient. I would highly recommend them and their

Cannot say enough good things about the team at Gallatin. We've lived all over the country in the 7 years we've had our Great Dane and seen many many vets, and this is far and away the best experience we've ever had. Every single person we interacted with was warm, kind, and best of all PATIENT with both me and my odd-ball dog. They took the time to actually listen to me, and to explain everything without putting pressure on me to say yes to any certain treatment. They let me bring his obnoxiously large bed in so he'd be comfortable before and after his procedure, communicated clearly and frequently

This is great place for all your pet needs! All staff members (front desk, vet techs and docs) are caring and very capable. The family plan they offer is a must for those with multiple pets - it has saved me so much money!! The entire crew is conscious of procedure costs and they go out of their way to work with you to provide the best care for your pet (and your wallet!!). And because they have multiple doctors it is easy to schedule appointments that fit your schedule, plus they are open on Saturdays! I am thankful for their help and advice for my three crazy pets!

I might have already left a review in the past for Gallatin Vet Hospital, but they deserve another 5-star review. First of all, this is the first vet's office that our pooch, Jessica, doesn't freak out going to. She actually gets excited when we get in the door. We've taken our golden retriever there for numerous reasons from annual exams to surgery and have been so relieved and happy with all the results. In particular, Dr. Clouse is one of the best! You can tell she loves what she is doing and never makes us feel rushed. Jessica seriously loves her!! Her love of animals and caring demeanor makes

The Gallatin Veterinary Hospital is a very great vet. A few years ago, our senior cat hat hip surgery here, and they seemed to do an excellent job. They are -very- knowledgeable and seem to do their research using the most up to date procedures and recommendations. They also show compassion and check up on the animal as needed. On Saturday, we had a veterinary emergency with our 4 year old cat. Then on the following Monday, the wonderful office staff was checking in to see how the cat is doing. Thank you for caring!!

I’m so grateful my 7 month old maltipoo is ok! This wasn’t how I wanted to meet a vet for sure coming to Montana from Texas. The staff at P.E.T.S with the help of ASPCA poison control saved my girl! A huge thank you to Gallatin Veterinary hospital for making sure she stayed the right course and making us feel so welcomed to Montana and their practice. I now have my vet that I will be taking both my fur babies to. Thank y’all so much, the whole staff was amazing!!! And Hope says thank y’all as well we all are so grateful.
