Specializing in Hair Extensions, Precision Haircuts and Haircolor in Alexandria VA, HauteNChic Hair Salon focuses on I-Tip, Keratin Fusions, Tape-Ins and Hand Tied Weft Extensions. Since starting her career 15 years ago, she has drawn the likes of Joan Rivers, Stephanie Dolson formerly of the Washington Mystics, Ethan Hawke, Sunni in the City of Joe Claire's Morning Show (WPGC 95.5), and other notable media and public figures to her chair.

Alanea specializes in hair extensions and has a good eye and amazing suggestions. I've had a number of different styles, or variations of styles, from her and I'm able to trust her. She listens well, and when I told her that my new job was the "face of the organization" she took that to heart and created a style that would work with my lifestyle and the new position I had.

Alanea was so kind, patient, and understanding, as previous reviews have mentioned. I went in wanting highlights and possibly a color correction but the website said you had to call for a consultation first. Alanea spent 5 hours with me and gave me a strategic trim. She cut the split ends and was able to salvage a couple inches! I haven’t gotten my hair professionally cut in years and Alanea gave me great advice for healthy hair hygiene. Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value
Hair extensions were not secure. Fell out less than 10 days after installed. They were unwilling to replace/redo without me paying an additional fee. It is unacceptable that I would have to pay MORE money for a BAD service. I paid a lot of money for not getting a good result. Think twice.

Alanea is a true professional. This was my first visit and she spent a lot of time with me figuring out color, cut and gave me a complete introduction to extensions. This was my first time at HauteNChic Hair! Alanea made me feel comfortable the minute I stepped into her Salon. I went to her at the end of 2020 during the Covid Pandemic; she followed all procedures and made you feel safe and relaxed! She is excellent, creative and a very professional stylist.
First Alanea colored my hair, then gave me a Keratin treatment and finally cut my hair. My hair was extremely damage due to perms and colors and she worked her magic on me! Her attention to detail is amazing and I would highly recommend her to all my friends! A plus all the way!!

I always look forward to my appointments with Alanea. She is warm and welcoming, and her cuts/styles/blowouts always make me feel shiningly confident! As someone with alopecia totalis (total hair loss), I trust no one but Alanea to cut and style my wigs. Alanea is one of the best hairdressers especially for those with trichotillomania in the entirety of the DMV area. She has transformed my hair from brittle, dry, and short, to long and thick and healthy.
