Same day keratin is a customizable treatment powered by K-Pure juice, a proprietary juice blend of keratin, botanicals and amino acids. When you meet Cindy, you know right away that she is passionate about hair design. On my first visit, she made me feel relaxed as she colored and styled my hair. Cindy uses quality products. Salon Lauren is an independent salon in Alexandria. Cindy is a wonderful person who really cares about a clients wants and expectations. I highly recommend her to anyone new to the area looking for a new stylist they can be confident in! Her balayage skills are impeccable. I was nervous to try a new salon but am very happy I put my trust in Cindy and am so excited to show my hair off! Though she specializes in thick curly hair she masterfully crafted my thin straight head.

She has been doing my hair for about four months now and it has NEVER been so healthy or blonde before (which is not easily attainable).She has completely transformed my hair and I could not be happier. I relocated to Alexandria from Texas last year and was nervous to try a new stylist, but also desperately needed a hair renovation. My first visit with Cindy, I asked her to do a pretty major cut--going from shoulder length to pixie length with lots of layers. I appreciate that she was willing to let me take a risk, and also that she kept checking in with me to make sure it was what I wanted. The cut was awesome and I got tons of compliments. Each visit with her, I walk out with a cut that looks and feels great. I'm also a huge fan of the products she uses, Kevin Murphy is the best!!

This was my first time getting my hair done by Cindy and I am so glad I picked her! She was super professional and had a consultation with me prior to the appointment in order to ensure she knew what I wanted with my balayage, which I really appreciated. Upon arrival she offered me some water and got straight to work. She made sure the water was comfortable and was very kind when advising products specifically for my hair. And definitely took her time when letting the hair process for the best color results! So glad I found someone with AMAZING prices and service so close to DC!

It usually takes me a while to find a hairdresser I like (several Yelp promotions, coupons, etc), but I liked Cindy from Day 1, and that's without a coupon!
I decided to find an organic/natural salon that used Kevin Murphy products, since those tend to work best on my fine blonde hair. I found Cindy working at a local salon in Old Town, and in I went to get partial highlights. Since both the experience and the hair were amazing, I followed Cindy a month later as she ventured out to realize her dream of having her own salon.
Although having your own place means working so much harder, Cindy

Cindy is amazing!
I first visited her at her former location after a disastrous experience at another Old Town salon. She listened and absorbed my concerns and goals, then gave me a cut that not only worked well with my wavy texture but also worked with my grow-out goals.
This time, I found her at her new place for a trim and color and was not disappointed! I ended up with beautifully shiny hair that hit exactly what I was looking for.
If you're looking for someone who actually listens to your hair goals and has the skills to make them reality, do yourself a favor and see Cindy

Cindy has been my stylist for years! I have followed her everywhere! My hair was always super long and darkest brown black but as I got older, my hair began to go gray and I've been changing styles. Cindy always has great advice and knows what will work with my personality, face, body, style, job, everything. She's also willing to try something crazy if I get a wild hair!! Now I'm blonde and that kind of transition from dark colors is hard on the hair. You can't trust that change to just anyone. Again, Cindy has kept me from going brassy and my roots at bay.
