What an awesome Dentist. Gentle and kind. He explains everything as he goes. Very compassionate and doesn't try to do anything that you don't need. The office staff is great and his assistant Patty is the best! If you are looking for a dentist look no further!

Dr. Koenen is a great family dentist. We have a had a few family members receive treatment from him now and each time he was incredibly thoughtful and detailed in his treatment plan. He is able to pinpoint potential problems and his work has withstood the test of time!

I have had several root canals that require a crown done by another dentist and today I had a crown done by Dr Koenen. I notice a big difference in the quality of procedure he did. The crown fits nicely tucked into my gums wheres I can feel where the others stop right at the gum line.

I recently moved into the Danville area and was looking for a dentist. I was lucky enough to be referred to Dr. Koenen from my orthodontist. For as long as I can remember the dentist has usually started with me having an anxiety attack and ended usually in tears. I was nervous going into my first appointment but Dr. Koenen made me so comfortable. He answered any and all of my questions. I had to have a couple fillings taken care of and he walked through every step of what work he was doing, when he was switching instrument, and made sure I was doing okay the hole time. I truly cannot thank him

ANOTHER great experience with Mark and his staff... had a filling bail out on me, and fortunately, they had an opening SAME DAY (thankfully it was a reasonably quick repair, no anesthesia reqd).

Staff is warm and friendly. Office is run efficiently. All dental care is provided expertly and gently. Highly recommend Dr. Koenen.

Dr Koenen is just the best. Best dentists I've had and I've had a few good ones. His staff are pros and efficient. He is one the nicest men you'll ever meet. He's conscientious, honest... awesome. If you need a new dentist and are in the area (even if you're not), make one of the easier decisions you'll ever have and just go see Dr Koenen!

Dr. Koenen is a really great dentist! He's conservative in his treatment and doesn't try to oversell you like so many dentist do these days. His staff is very accommodating and the office is clean and welcoming. I highly recommend him.

I've had avg and good dentists in my 50 years. Dr. Koenan is nothing short of exceptional. In my case, years of lifting weights (clinching) and brushing too hard has taken its toll. I have several crowns that have cracked or chipped amongst several other issues.

On my first visit, he put my mind at ease and even did a complete molds of my upper and lower teeth (at no cost to me) that he later used to illustrate to me the main problems and thoroughly explained a plan to fix the issues in order of priority

What a great experience.

It could have been horrible, I brought my 6 year old in, who had two teeth removed. She was nervous coming in, but Dr. Koenen took the time to talk to her the entire time, letting her know what she needed to know, and therefore taking away her fear. She had NO idea she was getting shots, and he surprised her with the teeth, she had no idea they had even been removed. She will probably need another tooth removed soon, and when I asked her about she replied with two thumbs up!

Dr. Mark Koenen is one of the kindest, gentlest and most highly skilled dentists I have known. I state this both as a previous patient (moved to another state) and as a former Registered Dental Assistant!

Mark has been my dentist for over 20 years. I started with him when I lived in Hayward and he was with the Southland Dental Group. I followed him to Danville when he opened his own practice. When I moved to Fairfield in 2005 I made the trip to Danville for my dental needs. I just couldn't give up Dr Koenen and his awesome staff. Now I live in Sacramento and STILL travel to Danville to see Dr. Koenen! He is the best!

Dr. Koenen and his entire staff are very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They provide superior dental care in a relaxed and well-run office.

Dr. Koenen is a kind, professional and wonderful dentist. He is conservative in his dental practices which I really like. Other dentists give multiple unnecessary x-rays, he did not for me. Denise at the front desk is a super nice and helpful lady. I would give a 5 star review except at one of my visits I had a hygienist who really didn't polish my teeth well at all and it happened to be on a day Dr. Koenen wasn't there (shock to me) and I therefore did not even
end up getting my teeth checked by an actual dentist.

When I go to the dentist only two times a year, I want to receive

Mark is a great dentist and his staff are great too. Highly recommend him IF his office is taking new patients as I'm sure with any good dentist their practice fills up fast. Call and find out ASAP.

Going to the Dentist has never been on the top of my faves list. With saying that it's really important to me to find a Dentist I can feel comfortable, and the hygienist I can trust with my sensitive gums. Dr. Koenen's office had been seeing our family now for about 15 years and they have been great! They've accommodated us through some tooth emergencies, and are very flexible on making and occasionally having to change an appointment.
