After graduating from beauty school and working at the Boca Beauty Club; he began honing his technique for setting and styling ladies' hair.
Soon after, he went to work under the tutelage and training of Nick M - one of the most talented barbers in the industry - and it was here where he perfected his consummate skill in cutting men's hair. He began at Guys & Dolls in 1998 and he is now the Managing Owner of this Ft Lauderdale hair salon.

At Guys & Dolls, we feature Natura Keratin. the Natura line of Keratin treatments is organic and offers 3 levels of intensity so that we can use the ideal Keratin for your hair type. We do over 100 keratin treatments each month and have equipped the shop with the Aerovex Healthy Hair System.
This includes those machines that go over your head to suck up the fumes immediately so that they do not upset your eyes or throat, a floor machine to purify the air, and special carbon filters in our A/C system to ensure the cleanest air quality ever in a hair salon.This was a substantial investment - but how can you put a price on your health?

Iâve been looking for a salon for quite some time and today was my first time in, and right from the start is was so welcoming and an overall great and pleasant experience. The minute you walk in youâre greeted and made welcome. Alex did my hair today and she did an outstanding job, I will for sure be going back!! 10/10 would recommend to everyone for any type of hair service!

I was looking for a new salon closer to my home and happened upon Guys & Dolls website. The fact that Dexter was the greeter sealed the deal that this was definitely a place I needed to check out.
Johnathan is absolutely delightful & Johnâs haircutting skills have made me a very pleased new customer. I felt right at home as soon as I walked through the door, as everyone was so friendly & welcoming.
And, of course, Dexter is absolutely adorable.
I am so happy I found this wonderful place.

5000 5 star reviews donât lie! I was looking for a place to get highlights and a keratin treatment on semi short notice after removing my extensions. John stayed late for me and was very kind. I was nervous about letting someone color my hair since a stylist ruined my hair with bleach in the past, but he did an excellent job and retained the health of my hair. I have scalp psoriasis and he was also very careful about my scalp and didnât put chemicals directly onto it. Great experience and would come back next time Iâm in South Florida.

I came here for a full balayage and trim, and everything turned out beautifully. Rime is truly gifted, and I would recommend her to anyone! :)
UPDATE AS OF 10/30/2021:
My hair has only been done for exactly 4 weeks now. I was instructed that a balayage usually lasts around 4-6 months until it is time for a touch up. I have had a balayage done before, and it never looked the way mine does right now. The balayage done 4 weeks ago looked amazing for the first week, and that is it. My hair is now extremely damaged when it was not before, and it will no longer stay straight for more than 30 minutes

They were all very friendly, and I loved their shop pup! I hear he never misses a day of work. My hair stylist Jairo understood exactly what I wanted. Iâm a very low maintenance kind of person and he helped me decided my style! Thank you for your honesty. The atmosphere is so friendly and everyone was great!

I found Guys and Dolls on google by searching for "best hair salons in my area" and it didn't disappoint. Not only do they have a very cute and calm dog, but as soon as you walk in you feel like you are a priority. I set up an appointment with Johnathan, the owner, and he was not shy to try and make me comfortable and have the best experience possible. My hair stylist, John, did a breath taking job. He made sure to explain to me everything he was doing and why, and took the time to really understand what look I was going for and delivered the final product exactly how I imagined it. The location

I went in for a hair cut and Keratin treatment and I'm very pleased with the results.
I found them online and called in to make an appointment - Jonathan was very professional and accommodating. Excellent customer service and hospitality.
I had my hair done by Rime and she was very courteous and explained everything along the way. I've had Keratin treatments done before, but no one previously was as knowledgeable as her. I loved my hair cut as well and loved that she knew how to style my hair according to the shape of my face.
