Unlike conventional medicine, which focuses on attempting to treat disease once it occurs, Sturgis Chiropractic emphasizes improving your health in an effort to reduce the risk of pain and illness in the first place. Dr. Jerrid Goebel was born and raised in Gettysburg, SD. He attended South Dakota State University for his undergraduate studies and Northwestern Health Sciences University for his Chiropractic and Acupunture studies. Dr. Goebel started Sturgis Chiropractic over 20 years ago and has been treating patients in Sturgis and Northern Hills communites.
At Sturgis Chiropractic, we take great pride in providing the finest chiropractic wellness care to our patients. Below is a sampling of the different chiropractic services we offer in our Sturgis office. We provide advanced spinal correction utilizing "state of the art" chiropractic techniques. Never in the history of chiropractic have we been able to provide the level of help and expertise that now exists.
Chiropractic treatment could offer the solution if chronic pain is one of your PTSD symptoms. Before receiving chiropractic care I was unable to walk one block without hip and low back pain. Now I am able to walk 2 miles without pain since manual manipulation and back exercises. The most special part of my experience with Dr. Johnson was understanding why I have back pain.
Chiropractic care is like building a house - certain things have to happen in a particular order for everything to stand strong and work correctly. When building a house, if you tried to put up your walls before you had a solid foundation, your walls would be weak and eventually collapse. If you tried to put on your roof before the walls were ready, you would run into the same problem.

They are wonderful both in Sturgis and Central City. They care about you and will get you in when you need it. They do a nice relaxing therapy and don’t spend time doing things that really feel are a waist of time. They get right to the core of what you need. I always had pain relief and it did get better. I highly recommend them.

I will have been a patient of the Clinic for 5 years in May2018. The first time I met Dr. G, I had suffered a fall and sustained three separated ribs (verified by x-ray), resulting in agonizing, debilitating pain caused by a pinched nerve. I injured my back a couple of years ago. Someone recommended that I consider seeking the services of a chiropractor. I admit I was skeptical at first. The staff was warm and friendly. I was having difficulty with the VA Vet's choice program. The clinic nurse made some calls, so by the time I had an appointment, she already had the confirmation… paperwork. I've been seeing Dr Johnson for 8+ years now. I used to suffer from tonsillitis and chronic bronchitis, two to three times per year.
