Dr. Michael Posner grew up in New York City and is a graduate of Lawrence High School. He attended Hofstra University and then graduated from Tuskeegee Institute School of Veterinary Medicine. He worked at the Animal Medical Center in NYC before going into private practice in Far Rockaway and Hewlett.

Today we had a wonderful experience with Dr. Michael Posner and his caring staff at West Ave. Animal Hospital. We came for our puppy’s shots! We left with lots of info, and so many questions addressed. Dr. Posner gave us so much time, checked and took care of many aspects of our dog’s health and well being. He is a kind man who loves animals and is incredibly knowledgable and generous! The bill was so reasonable. We are so happy to have so much confidence in our puppy’s vet!

Dr. P saved my puppy… when several other Vet’s were just going to just remove his eyes. Plus charge me an exorbitant amount of $. My Puppy had an accident with another dog. He was grabbed by his head, and the other being bigger dog, my puppy’s eyes popped out. Which is common with small snout dogs. Thank the lord that I opted to just take him home after the 24 hour emergency hospital in Coral Springs, FL advise. There diagnosis was insane along with their bed side manner and ridiculous charge. Dr. P was amazing, his team is amazing took care of my baby immediately the next morning. My baby

My puppy just got the worst cut ever. Their normal groomer wasn’t there so they had a different lady and she cut my puppy’s hair on his face all the way down to the skin to the point where he got cut and was bleeding, not to mention this was very close to his eye. The vet himself is good and the regular groomer is too but they lady that took her place was not it.

I really like the Vets there, especially Dr Posner. Just real compassion for the animals and extremely knowledgeable. Little high on office visit but at least they do not suggest unnecessary tests or treatments that a lot of Vets like to do. Convenient if you need an appointment quick . Definitely give them a try , you will not be disappointed in the visit. Everyone here is friendly.
