Brett Funeral Home & Cremation Services
Brett Funeral Home and Cremation has been serving St. Petersburg area families for years. We are honored to be a part of the rich history of this community and plan to be a part of it for many years to come. Our Tradition of service began in 1960 when Tom and Gail Brett founded Brett Funeral Home. Located in the center of St. Petersburg, the family business has been a fixture on Central Avenue for three generations.

After the death of Mr. Brett in 1977, his two sons, Timothy and Terrence took over operations of the business and continue in that capacity today. The founders grandson and namesake, Thomas J. Brett, has been with the family business for several years and represents our third generation. In an age of uncertainty and change, families can depend upon the Brett family and their tradition of service.
Services
Our dedicated staff are here to provide support, compassion, and information to help you through your journey of grief and the celebration of your loved one's life. There's a lot that goes into planning a funeral, but making those arrangements beforehand gives you time to consider all of your options and make sure that you're covering all of the necessary details. Still feeling unsure? Here are some of the most important reasons why planning ahead may be the best option.
Consider any customs, traditions, or religious rites that are important to you and your family. Choose friends or family members to perform the eulogy, read scripture, or prepare a speech. There's no need to make all the decisions right away. For personalized assistance in creating your plan, contact one of our experts to schedule a one-on-one meeting.
Please list any poems, religious texts, or readings you would like to be read at your services. Please list any specific foods or beverages you would like to make available to your family and guests at the services. Is there a special story, personal thank you, or message of hope you would like to be read during your services?
We own our own crematory. This is very important to insure peace of mind for you and your family. We have total control over the professional and ethical standards that we expect and demand. Your loved one never leaves our care. Because we own our own crematory, we can ensure prompt attention to your needs with no scheduling delays.

We cannot even begin to thank you enough for all of your support during this heartbreaking time in our lives. You were so considerate of our feelings and emotions at that time. You also went above and beyond what you were required to do. Myself and my daughters express their utmost gratitude. The compassion, kindness, care, respect and professional ability that your family provided was so comforting. Every detail was anticipated and handled flawlessly and everything was all very beautiful. We would never have been able to do it without your help. Again, thank you so much for your kindness. Wendy

The funeral home staff were compassionate and professional. They approached everything from the perspective of remembering the deceased and consoling the living. There were no sales pitches. Our meetings focused solely on what was right for me and my family.
I cannot stress enough how helpful and informative Terry was throughout the entire process. Thank you.
