A. Your medical doctor can refer you as a patient or you can call us for services. The state and VA have their own policies for referring patients since they are paying for the services. You can self-refer provided you do not have Long-Term Care Insurance. If you have Long-Term Care insurance, your insurance will require that a medical doctor initiate the service.
