Great atmosphere. Excellent vibe. Great boozy neighborhood bar feel. Huge vocal and loyal bar crowd. Clearly a cash cow with a loyal bar customer following.
That said, C - food that is clearly prepared well in advance and reheated, if not prepared and/or purchased ready made from Sysco. This is a TGI Friday in fancy dress.

We stopped on our way to @Woltrap for early dinner @Bazin's...martini with blue cheese olives, amazing gazpacho, lamb lollipops and blue cheese potatoes au gratin, and salted caramel tart with bitter chocolate ice cream, husband had the prime burger. Everything was delicious and service by Bella was impeccable as always!

My son and daughter-in-law had their rehearsal dinner at Bazin's Next Door on 7/15/21. It was fantastic! Julie Bazin was just an absolute joy to worth with! We had 19 people for a sit down dinner - the ambiance, food and service was just the best. After dinner we had welcome cocktails for about 40-45 people. Again, the food was great, the drinks were so fresh and delicious.
Thank you Bazins for making this an absolute success and creating a wonderful memory for our family.

Another fantastic meal at Bazin's last evening. Ambiance and service are always terrific, and the food is excellent. It's the kind of place that feels right for both a casual (but nice) dinner or a special occasion. One of us ALWAYS gets the jumbo lump crabmeat spring roll - delicious and with an amazing slaw and citrusy vinegarette. Best thing on the menu. I had a cod special and my husband had salmon, both were excellent. The wine menu is high quality and enough to choose from without being overwhelming. We love the place and come whenever we can.

The food and service was good. The shrimp egg roll was really good. We ordered the sea bass and the special which was the Atlantic cod and they were both delicious. But the drinks were below average. Kind of like the drinks you’d get at a college bar. Doesn’t match the food. We would’ve drank and ate more if the drinks were better. We were just really let down by our drinks but the food was amazing.

This establishment needs to get organized. For example, we made reservations, but somehow they didn't have a reservation for us when we arrived. We ordered a bottle of wine, but they sent out two glasses of wine.
As I was the designated driver, I had hoped to order a non-alcoholic brew. No luck. They don't sell such a thing. When our meals arrived, the dishes were cold and poorly cooked. We chocked them down, but overall none of our party of six was pleased. We waited for our check, but were told we had to wait longer ... wait for the check?!
Unless they can step up their game quickly

The bartender provided great service and the drinks were good. However, we had a 7:30 reservation and we weren’t served until 9:00 pm. When the food came out it wasn’t good. The steak was over cooked and the fries were inedible. I had to ask them to take my meal off the bill. The manager kept telling me to come back and he’d take care of us. Apparently he wasn’t willing to take care of us tonight. Don’t bother going here. Plenty of better quality restaurants in the DC area.

Made a reservation for anniversary. Once we got seated it took more than a few minutes to get a server. They were focused on the larger parties. A server finally took our order for just drinks. After about 5-10 minutes another server stopped by the table to ask if we were helped and took our orders for appetizers and entrees. Lamb lollipops were good but everything else was okay. Main courses took no less than 20 minutes and a server who directed me to the restroom while waiting, thought we were done and asked if we wanted dessert. I'm giving 3 stars because although the staff and wine selection are both great, I find the food to be average tasting. The service staff is very friendly and accommodating, there is a lot of social distancing and everything feels very clean there. We had a chop salad which was pretty bland, the sea bass was very good and cooked perfectly (I can see why it is one of their top dishes). The mushroom topped rockfish was dry and the mushroom topping seemed dry, but the risotto it sat on top of was good. The flourless chocolate cake was also dry and not very flavorful. After a decade of loyalty, sad to cross off my list. Playing rap during the meal? Really? The first time may have been an outlier, but the second time constitutes a trend.
For the amount of money I pay to eat here, I don't need to feel like I'm in a dance club. Everything else about this place is historically great, but first impressions mean something and you can't rely on the past to guarantee the future.

Our party of 10 came in to celebrate a friends birthday. She had eaten here before and loved it. I made a reservation and arrived early and they had our table ready. My husband and I sat at the bar and ordered a bottle of wine during their happy hour. We were able to bring our wine over to the table once our entire party was seated. Wine with lunch. Big fan of New Zealand Sauv Blanc. Very affordable one by the glass for only $10 so let's have two!
Was torn between two menu items but opted for the romaine salad with grilled shrimp. Expertly seasoned and talked with avocado, tomatoes and a great vinaigrette. Absolutely delicious.
The owners are always present and that is important. Always with a smile too! Excellent Restsurant & bar. I know they have an excellent happy hour too. Next time

Fantastic food, even better drinks, and a great atmosphere. Cajun swordfish had just the right amount of kick and the rockfish was amazing! One of the things that stood out to me was the wonderful balance of both flavors and textures in each of the dishes. Wonderful experience and I look forward to visiting again.

Lovely restaurant in downtown Vienna. It's a gem and one of a kind. The food is amazing and the service phenomenal. They have live music on certain days. Great spot for a date because the vibe is super cute and romantic. I love that they offer cheese plates! We tried the sea bass and that was incredible.
I would love to come back for the Sunday jazz brunch and try out their brunch menu.

My husband, 7 month old, and I had Father's Day brunch here last Sunday. I made reservations on OpenTable far in advance for 11:30 AM. I'm not sure they were needed, but they not only reached out to confirm the reservation, but also to advise they do not have high chairs and to confirm it was 2 adults and one child. Per our request due to the no high chair situation, we were seated at a half booth with a booster seat. The broccoli frito was amazing! Same goes for the desserts, including the key lime pie (great crust) and salted caramel tart. Unfortunately, the grilled filet mignon was not my favorite. The sauce didn't seem to complement the meat, but I've heard better things about the seafood.
Definitely worth a second try (maybe brunch), especially for vienna locals.

Bazin's was amazing. I was thrilled to try the sea bass and it definitely hit the spot. I opted for normal mashed potatoes instead of the wasabi one. The wasabi would probably complement the miso sauce well, but I'm just not a fan of wasabi. The miso sauce was so good! My other favorite that we ordered was the broccoli side dish. I couldn't stop eating it! I also enjoyed the cauliflower app, but was not impressed with the shrimp app.
We ordered a couple of different desserts and meh, have had better. I would probably go somewhere else for desserts after my meal.

Went for fathers day brunch. Crab cake Benedict was good. The hollandaise sauce was tangy and tasty but one of my eggs was way over cooked. :( I liked the cheese blintzes with tart cherries but kids did not. Cinnamon bread was a hit. Will definitely go again when they are less busy. Food and service overall were good even though they were extremely busy, Sorry, forgot the picture before i dug in!
