I have been doing karate for five years and hopefully I will be getting my black belt in January. I love doing karate, I love being a senpai (I love helping), and I never want to leave the dojo because Sensei makes it so much fun and everyone learns a lot.

Services
BEFORE you send in a registration form, PLEASE bring the form to the karate academy for Sensei to review. This will help avoid any mistakes. Prepare your karate bag and make sure that you have all the equipment that you need for the tournament according to the circuit you are attending. Always have your Gi (karate uniform) with you, clean and ironed.
The high level of self esteem and self discipline achieved through our program aids your child in making good decisions at home, school and in the community therefore ensuring a successful future and provides them with skills necessary for resisting peer pressure or being bullied. In 1993 Sensei obtained his degree in Civil Law and was a very successful Trial Attorney in Venezuela.

Based off interactions at Urban Air in Wesley Chapel. I'm not a customer, but based on what I saw today, I never would. The staff is unprofessional. Some of the kids came over and visited for my daughters 8th birthday. The staff came over scolding the kids but didn't even acknowledge us or apologize for their lack of oversight. If you were watching the kids, they never would've been at our table having cake. Unbelievable.

Keiko shin karate academy is such an amazing Family oriented academy.
My daughter has been going here for almost 12 years and just recently got her 2nd Dan, and love being there and helping and training.

I was highly recommend this dojo from a friend when she heard I was having a hard time finding a reputable dojo. Sensei Ernesto has done an amazing job with teaching our son the art of karate, my son has a learning disability and was having a hard time at school. Since joining he has gained confidence, renewed focus, and has become more of an advocate for himself. Six months after starting basic karate my son was asked to join the competition team and we have continued to watch him grow in such a short time. What a great family friendly studio.. I started taking the adult karate class at Keiko Shin about 2 years ago, as a form of physical fitness and self defense. I quickly became entrenched in the art of traditional Shotokan Karate. The classes are challenging and the atmosphere is welcoming and family oriented. Sensei Ernesto Fuentes is passionate about what he does and genuinely cares about his students of all ages!

Soon after signing our son up for Karate at Keiko Shin we realized we didn’t just join a Dojo we joined an amazing family. The sensei has helped our son not only with learning Karate but, in life. He has helped shape him into the young man he is today. From school grades to respect he has blossomed within the 2 years he has been with Keiko Shin. We could never have imagined that this dojo would turn our son into a national champion.

We searched high and low, after learning that other martial arts studios have their instructors using aliases (because of DOMESTIC VIOLENCE criminal charges) to run their studios, and learning that anybody in general can basically open up a studio since they're not regulated as other places.... After much research on where we would place our son for an extracurricular activity, choosing Keiko Shin has been the best decision we could have ever made.

There are not enough words to describe how awesome Keiko Shin Karate Academy is. I never have to worry if my son is safe or what he is being taught. All of the staff are very kind and thoroughly care for him and his growth in karate. They offer a very reliable pick up service for their after school program. The lessons my 7yr old son has learned and the confidence that he has gained are invaluable. Thank you Keiko Shin Karate Academy.
