This place used to be good. Now it is horrible and probably the worst place in the area. The classes are not capped anymore and you can expect 28 to 35 kids per class. This means, no special attention of any kind. The quality received is mediocre. The owner of this place is greedy and cheats the parents constantly. They do not issue credits of any kind even though they close the studio on a regular class days of the week for reasons like: renovation, sickness, random holidays, no teachers available or out of town. You just loose that class ($20 per class - Monthly cost is $160). When you email

NTK is amazing. My son has been doing karate for about 3 months now and he absolutely loves it. We have definitely noticed an improvement in discipline and focus. All of the Sensei’s are patient, kind and do a wonderful job teaching and Ms. Emily is super helpful. We are so happy with this dojo and are excited to continue on with this adventure. When looking into karate for my son we did a trial class at every local dojo. Black belt stood out from the others by far. The care for students, the structure, the staff and encouragement given throughout the lessons has kept us here for over 2 years. The owner Eddie has revamped this program since he purchased the dojo a few years ago and has turned it into a staple for our community. We have recommended it to several of our friends whose children now also attend and love the classes here. I highly recommend taking a trial class and meeting Eddie and his staff.

We searched for a long time for a martial arts facility to call "home". Being a military family(retired now) and traveling a lot, we have looked at many Dojo's over the years at each of our assignments. We found the New Tampa Karate - Black Belt Academy through a birthday party held there. The birthday party was really a party with some martial arts components to it. I have never seen our two children as well as the rest of the children attending the party be so drawn to a Sensei during that martial arts section. We knew that we found our martial arts "home".
