Waters Edge is one of my favorite locations on Shem creek. The fried shrimp platter comes out perfect every time (I get the grits and collards as my sides) and even better the shrimp are from a local company. Don’t forget the tuna appetizer ! Staff is always friendly and helpful and provides other recommendations for the area. JC and Boston at the cabana bar downstairs are the bomb. **Also for the people who don’t understand the parking, simply ask the staff after your meal to validate and you will get your money back has always been easy for me.
10/10 would highly recommend this location

Food was really good. The atmosphere is nice and allows you to sit outside or inside. The prices weren't bad, given it is the Charleston area. The selection of food is pretty good. There is seafood, chicken, and beef. My wife really enjoyed her seafood sampler, which had flounder, scallops, shrimp, and mussels. I had the beef tenderloin with demi glaze, and it was amazing. The bathrooms could use some repairs. Towards the end of the meal, it was starting to get a little warm in the restaurant with little relief. The customer service seemed to be good, although our waitress seemed to be the type

The customer service was excellent. I had the fried flounder which was delicious. The collard greens were yummy too! I wasn't so much a fan of the grits and pickle slaw. The mixed drink was okay. Our Fellowship time and the atmosphere was amazing. We also got on the Tiki Bar that was awesome can't wait to do that again!

The food was good we had the shrimp and grits and fried oysters and a salad. The waitress was very friendly nice the food was served in a timely manner. Atmosphere was perfect. We had a window seat to look at the boats come in and the bar on the river. We will definitely come back again when we come to Charleston. And most important it was my wife's birthday so that made it even better she really enjoyed herself.

Reese was our hostess and was extremely friendly and welcoming. She found us a table right next to the water with a perfect view of the dolphins in Shem Creek. Amy was our waitress and recommended the shrimp and grits. She was so nice and super friendly. It was probably the BEST MEAL we've eaten on our trip to Charleston. We had shrimp and grits at 82 Queen and Waters Edge was so much better!!

Food was good. Long wait from the kitchen. The seafood choices that we ordered were really good. One of our party doesn't care for seafood and ordered salad with chicken. The chicken was not good and the salad was so so. The staff handled it for her. They were quite busy. Nice setting for and view. The staff was very nice.

Delicious dinner with entertainment. We dined near a window where we had a view of Shem Creek where we were able to watch dolphins jump and play and pelicans fight over fish. The mussel appetizer was the beat we've had. It is served with a flavorful booth that has garlic, capers, artichokes, and red peppers in it. I feel like it should be served with some crusty bread or croutons to stop up the remaining broth. The barbecue salmon was fantastic. It was grilled and glazed with a tasty barbecue sauce and served with grilled asparagus and tricolored fried potatoes (regular potatoes, purple potatoes

Overall: Come for the views and the vibe, but don't expect much from the food.
The good: You pay for the atmosphere, and being next to (or near) the water can be worth the wait. The majority of their seating is covered by a roof, so if it rains or is too hot, they have that going for them. The beers are cheap and they have a decent-sized menu. Bartenders were attentive and helpful.
The not-so-good: We wanted some great, local seafood, but unfortunately the best part of our meal was the couscous. The crab cakes were small, soggy, and certainly didn't use fresh crab. The fried calamari was cold
