We want to thank you for your patience through the past year. Operating via "curbside service" during this pandemic has been challenging for all of us, staff and pet owners alike. The American Veterinary Medical Association and Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association are still recommending we operate via "curbside service, " and we are following that recommendation.
It is our responsibility to provide excellent medical care for your pets; in order to do this, we must ensure the safety of our sole Doctor, as well as the rest of our staff. We appreciate your continued patience, and rest assured that we will announce our "reopening" as soon as we are told it is safe enough to do so!

Services
We work hard to ensure that your pet has an exceptional visit every single time we see them. We want to be a vital, contributing member of our community, respected for our integrity, and committed to the pursuit of excellence. Cynthia Herring, practice owner, handles the business part of owning a practice.
From their first visit to their later years, prevention is one of the most important things you can do for your pet. Whether it's vaccines to protect from certain diseases or preventative medication that protects them from parasites like fleas and ticks-we'll make sure they're on the right path for all stages of their life.
Digatherm images map physiological patterns in the body-helping to localize disease, often before it's fully onset. By utilizing thermal images alongside traditional vital signs, we can proactively diagnose, treat, and monitor our patients. The differences in temperature, represented by changing colors, make the images easy to interpret and understand.
We know you have a lot of choices when choosing a Clearfield veterinary hospital, and we're happy that you've decided to join the Herring Veterinary Service family. Your kind words and feedback help us continue to provide over-the-top service to you and your pet. We have used Herring Veterinary Clinic for years and feel very fortunate to have them care for our pets and our children's pets in the past.

In the past, I would've given 5 stars. But after our last two visits, I can only give 4. The front desk just isn't the same when calling curbside. The techs are still great, and we like Dr Costner, but the front staff has been short tempered two visits in a row now. The first time I was snapped at because I had concerns about my dogs teeth and wanted to make sure someone looked at them. I was told sharply that he was only scheduled for shots. The second time the receptionist snapped at me when it was a clerical error on their part. Alexis was very nice to deal with, but I can't always say the same

I could not be happier with Dr. Cosner and staff. She has personally called me to address concerns I had about my sick cat. Her staff is at a point where they recognize my phone number and they are kind and empathetic with each interaction. I am so happy Dr. Cosner is there. She has made this the vet to go to now. I hope to not see them much and that I don't have to continue calling about my sick cat but I know they are doing their absolute best for him and I'm so appreciative.

I've heard nothing but great things about this vet office prior to moving to the area. Since I have, I'm not impressed. You'll be placed on hold and forgotten. They'll tell you one thing and then when you show up will tell you something completely different. The receptionist doesn't seem to know much. They're the only vet in town so I'm stuck with them but like I said, I'm not impressed.
