Could you use compassion, skills, and expert support on what you're going through, or a non-judgemental ear just to listen? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then individual therapy could be the solution you've been seeking. Individual therapy differs from group or alternative therapy methods in the way that you are the sole focus of a single therapist who helps you develop and achieve your goals for therapy.
Finding a good fit is a crucial step in finding a therapist for the teen in your life, or for yourself. As therapists for tweens and teens (ages 8 and up), it is important that we can connect to our client's experience and "get it". We use a combination of creative arts, DBT skills, talk therapy, EMDR, and other trauma and attachment-based therapies, as well as artistic expression, to connect with their worlds.

First and foremost, it was not easy contacting these people. I had to email, call, message over Google, several times in order to get a call back. They were not able to place me with the therapist I requested due to no new clients so they recommended one of their other therapists who had similar qualifications, after making an appointment for 3 weeks out, I get a call today, 2 days before the appointment with the news that they had a scheduling error and the therapist indeed cannot take any new clients either. And the lady who spilled the beans, no empathy for the fact that I am struggling with

My kids have been seeing Nick for about 8 months now. We have a very difficult situation and have seen several different counselors, until we found Nick my kids have really bonded with him and trust him which we never found with our other counselor's. He listens and never judges, he is honest with them but also builds them up. I don't know where my kids would be without the help Nick has provided them. I would highly recommend this counseling group.

Working with Nick has been very helpful and enlightening. I found his approach to be very intuitive as he has the ability to act as a guide to discovery. He provides practical advice for navigating complex issues and the whole Stacy Ruse Counseling Group experience has been supportive and absolutely worthwhile.

My family and I have been working with Nick for several months and am so impressed by his ability to connect with my teenage children. He truly has a gift for drawing children into a comfortable and safe space. For example, one of my children was struggling expressing his emotions after our recent divorce. Nick was able to provide tangible… solutions to my child in way that made sense and that was workable for him. Additionally, his solutions had a lasting impact which he still applies when tempted to act out. I would highly recommend Nick for family therapy.. you will not be disappointed

Unbelievable that I"ve called 5 times in 5 days for help for my daughter. I've gotten NO response. One time, they tried to transfer me to someone else and cut off the phone and never called back, so 15 minutes later I called and they were too busy to talk to me. Nobody has made even one attempt to return any of my other calls. This is not counseling, it causes more stress!!! Horrible way to do business.
EDIT: Yes the practice manager did take my call finally and has been talking with me on options, thank you. I just suggest the initial connection be smoother for clients, but am appreciative of

I have been using the counseling services with Stacy Rouse throughout the Covid19 pandemic. The office staff, in particular Audrey, were wonderful and helped guide me to the appropriate services. She got me in touch with Sondra who has provided me with a safe space to discuss my concerns. Even though I was not able to see her in person, she made for a safe and non judgmental environment. I also attended one group session online. I was unsure how that would work since we were all online and in different locations, some even in different states. I enjoyed that experience and they were able to ensure

I had a preliminary appointment with a therapist about a month ago.
Due to scheduling reasons, I haven’t been able to see her again despite her confirming a slotted time with me that would work. Since that initial appointment, I have had to HOUND them constantly to get an additional appointment. The receptionist isn’t kind in the least.
For someone with a dehabilitating mental illness, I can only imagine how disheartening this process would be for them. I’m less bothered by my symptoms, but I shouldn’t have to call them multiple times in a week to get a call back.
