I had a good experience with the first two women who cut my hair here but wasn't happy with my appointment with Kazim. He had a very strong opinion about the right cut for my hair and face and talked me out of the style that I came in asking for. I don't like the results and found it stressful to be there.

I moved to Berthoud almost a year ago. I tried several hair salons in the area but when I found Kazim at Tuana Hair Design in Fort Collins I couldn't have been happier. I sit in his chair and I don't have to explain what color or cut I need. He is such a professional and experienced hairstylist that every time I go to the salon I leave amazed at what he can do with my frizzy, curly hair.
The receptionists are extremely courteous and friendly and you are greeted with a smile and immediately ask what you would like to drink and how your day is going?

I called and made an appointment. It was on speaker so my staff could all notate appointment..bc I am busy and my time is very valuable.
I showed up to a locked set of doors with clients sitting in chairs laughing at me trying to make sure I wasn't struggling with the door..no it was indeed locked..I turned to leave and a young lady scurried over to open and said she didn't realize the door was locked ..it was the front door at 220 pm..my appointment was for 230.
I gave my name..already feeling uncomfortable about the door .and told it was for 130.

I love this salon! Been going here for three years. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. Every single stylist has immense talent and can transform anyone into a movie star! I go to Alex for all my hair needs. He is the best. He took me from pastel pink with dark roots to a beautiful neutral blonde with a shadow root and did not give up until I had reached my hair goals. Alex knows what will look best and will give you his honest opinion... But at the same time he takes in to consideration what the client wants because that is the most important thing. I came in for a full highlight with Deja and she was by far the best hair stylist that I've had!! I previously went to studio B thinking that the money would give me what I wanted and that wasn't exactly the case so I came here and couldn't be happier with my visit. I will definitely continue to come here and see her :)

I like this establishment and have been there before, but I did not have a good experience with the owner who did my cut and color. He did try to hair shame me as in other reviews to upsell his services and I felt like he did not listen to what I wanted. The cut seemed rushed and he chatted with other coworkers over me. He did not give me the style I wanted, very choppy and not face framing. Overall I felt pressured to do more services than I had asked for when booking my appt. I have never had any issues with anyone else and the place seems fine otherwise, just trying to share my experience.

What a fabulous experience I had today at Tuana Hair Designs. I'm a busy single mom that has little to no time for my hair. I don't even know anything about hair. I had a stylist for 16 years that recently left the business, since then, I've tried to maintain my hair on my own. Uuuuh, lets just say, the color boxes, months with no haircuts, and self- product selection FRIED my hair. I had to find a new stylist and salon and decided to give Tuana a try. Really really enjoyed my experience there. I am not good at picking out random salons in random places and I do rely alot on reviews when traveling. But a haircut????? That's serious business and I usually need a word of mouth referral. However I loved Jessica and I LOVE my haircut. I'm crazy picky about my hair and Jessica was willing to be as meticulous as it gets when dealing with layers and length. So take it from me...great haircut and great price. Thank you Jessica!!! I was just in town for the day and wanted to get my eyebrows threaded. I've been on the road for about a month and my brows were pretty bad. I called about 15 different salons trying to find one that offered the service. The receptionist said they take walk-ins but there's only two people in the salon that thread and by walking in instead of making an appointment I was taking the chance that the ladies wouldn't be there or would be too busy. I made an appointment.
I arrived with my niece 15 minutes early. We walked in to a woman

In town for a weekend, I was desperate to find a threading place. Using my trusty Yelp App, I found Tuana's and it was close enough. I called and they said they could accommodate me right away for a full face threading. Hori did one of the best threading services I've ever gotten. She was so fast and so thorough! Normally when I go to Indian salons they do a simple shaping of my eyebrows but Hori went above and beyond by tweezing and using scissors to really shape them. I walked out with movie star eyebrows and my face was super clean. Minimal pain. The salon itself was staffed

Being a service industry at its core, I expect that any salon puts their customer first. I have had two encounters with this salon and both have ended with a bad taste in my mouth.
The first time was a few years ago, I purchased a groupon just for a haircut. I go in and there was a male stylist working on my hair. One-he took forever as he was sitting down in his chair practically examining every strand that he wanted to cut. But several times while I was there he told the receptionist not to schedule him with the groupon haircuts because it's not fair to him for the time he takes, etc. He

So I got my hair done a little over two weeks ago and my hair is still bleeding! I went in to just get a cut then the stylist convinced me to get a color as well (which was fine cause I was in need even though I usually don't like pushy sales). She put the color on my hair, set me up at a dryer, set a timer, then went away. Then proceeded to cut some other guy's hair, which, once again, was fine because I was waiting and I know the show must go on. So my timer goes off...and I wait...and wait. I really enjoyed this Salon. I normally frequent another high end salon in Ft Collins, however I decided to try something new! My friend comes here and has fine thin hair as I do and I always love how it looks when she gets it done. I booked an appt with Nikki and she did a wonderful job. Currently I have really damaged shorter hair due to pregnancy and she made it look glossy and healthy again. I love the cut and the color looks beautiful.
