I made an appointment with Amber. The salon looks nice all the girls were busy getting hands on. Morgan keeps people laughing it's a nice atmosphere. It was my first time and the only dislike I had was that I felt my hair was not washed properly. I didn't mentioned anything to Amber because it was my first time and I wanted to see how they worked and if I liked it but that's just me. The hair style looked nice but didn't last long. My hair was washed and pincurled. I like the fact that they go by appointments so you won't have to sit there for hours waiting. I'll be going back though they do really

This is the BEST braiding salon in the city, hands down. From the ease of booking and selecting services, to the email reminders (which I'm always grateful for because I'm super forgetful) to the service, are all top tier. If you want a stylist that does amazing work, Braids fast and beautifully, definitely book Lashawna! She is truly the absolute best and so sweet. I sit in her chair and she gets right to work and always knows exactly what I want. I will be patronizing NOLA BRAIDER forever...well for as long as I can! Thank you Lashawna🙌🏽

My gosh, this is my first time reviewing a business. Let me start off by saying so far, the braids look great. If that’s all you’re looking for, go here! A lot of product is used to slick hair down so if your hair is not very resistant to build-up, that might be a problem.
What really disappointed me was the service. The stylist was certainly the least friendly I’ve ever encountered. (I won’t say her name because I honestly wish no harm against her personal success). She did not speak at all except to say to move my head like twice (or to other stylists). She actually rescheduled this

Amber and her team are fantastic! I’ve been going there for almost five years since moving to New Orleans. They can do any style and are hands down the best braiders in town. 🙌🏽 Her daughter, Aliyah, was so great and super sweet with my young daughter when she did her hair as well! Definitely would recommend Nolabraider to anyone looking for braids or a natural hair style!

Recently I booked a appointment with Charlie and 1 hour prior to the appointment she notified me my appointment had been cancelled. She then notified me that she would make contact with the shop’s owner Amber to be serviced by someone else . As time went on no one reached out I had to contact Amber myself and ask if I can just have a refund in which she agreed due to me having to reach out to another stylist outside of NOLABRAIDER. As the day went on no refund had been made and when contacted again about it Charlie tried to reschedule for a night appointment. This shop has shown poor customer

Very nice salon. I was happy to hear of a salon which specializes in natural hair care. I booked my appointment and got all the necessary things I needed for my hair. I received crochet locs done by Shaq and was very pleased with the results. You can also find Nolabraider on instagram for more information. I'll be back to revisit the salon in the near future.
