As an older man with receding hair line, I’ve not been able to find anyone who can cut my hair to fit my head and manage the new growth patterns. Shannah is an artist and has given me the best cuts I’ve had in as along as I can remember. And the men’s haircut is very affordable. Kudos to Twisted. Highly recommend to all, but especially those who need a little extra attention.

I will forever go to this salon. The products, service & atmosphere are all top notch. Katie is my girl but all the stylist are very talented. I tell everyone to go there and everyone has loved it just as much.

I love this place! It's in a converted shotgun and has classic New Orleans charm with funky decor, a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. I've been here multiple times, but Anna just gave me a perfect cut and it was one of the best salon visits I've had. I felt really pampered and she gave me great advice about my hair. I highly recommend it!

Walked over here, was 5min late for the appointment to get a simple men's haircut. They told me I had to reschedule and come back another day because they close at exactly 6p. It was 5:20p, not 5:55p. There was nobody in the place. Go somewhere else, these people are unreasonable. I won't be back.

The whole team at Twisted are so wonderful and kind. I love the extensions that I have and keep coming back time and time again for upkeep. Overall a wonderful experience!

Catelyn did a fantastic job cutting our toddler's hair, highly recommend her if you are looking to go somewhere better than the cookie cutter "kids snip" places.

Catelyn was patient and charming with our daughter and even gifted her a flower barrette at the end! Our daughter is already asking when she can return!

I had been living in New Orleans for about 2 years, and I still would head to Texas to get my hair done.

I was on a job in Savannah, GA when I decided to do a wild fashion color. Purple. It took 7 hours and was $400, which I thought was high, but didn't really have anything to compare it to. When I got back to New Orleans, I decided it was high time to find a stylist. After searching for a few weeks, I found Cher.

Cher is a hair goddess. She did my hair, and it was so bright and healthy, but also, it was much more reasonably priced than the place I went to in Savannah.

Went for a simple round brush blow out only to have a ton of unnecessary products put in my hair & my hair came out straight. She didn't seem to know how to fix it so she tried to put twists in it using a straightening iron & it only came out worse. $30 & an hour wasted only for me to do my own hair all over when I got home. Don't recommend if you want a nice blowout.

We love this salon. My daughter has been having her hair done here for many months. She is very experimental and has had some extreme changes and styles. They have been able to cater to her every wish and she comes out looking fabulous! The atmosphere is relaxed and fun. I know several people who have had their hair done here and all have had great experiences. The owner is a pro - I love this salon!

I am that client.. & I would like to clarify the fact that I have had my dreads for 5years, and at that point, they had NEVER been touched by a professional! I was actually surprised at the fact that she got so much done in only an hour!! I only asked for her to do the top because I was very excited about how the rest looked & for once I didn't look "a mess". She is extremely knowledgeable about dreads & I left there with a lot of helpful information.

Great colorists but the woman who did my hair was always asking me if I had been handing out her cards and texting me about setting up new appointments. She even confronted me once about why I hadn't responded to what sounded like a mass text to her clients about her extended hours. I loved the hair color she did for me but her attitude towards client-customer personal boundaries made me way too uncomfortable to keep coming back there

After having my hair butchered by another salon, I called Twisted they said I could come right away. Not only were the girls so sweet, Cher did an absolutely amazing job fixing the damage. I love my new hair and found a forever salon in the process.

I have been here a few times to have my hair cut, and always talk as much as I can about what I've got going on with my hair...which is not much! Admittedly, I'm not a hair or beauty focused person but I made a commitment while talking with a stylist and decided to dye my hair. Something natural. I've been a client of Twisted Hair Salon for 10 years. The atmosphere is friendly, sassy and fun! They are knowledgeable about the products they carry and passionate about the services they provide. My most recent experience was wonderful and I love my hair.

I emphasized multiple times that I didn't want my hair cut short and that I only wanted it trimmed and neatened up. What I got instead was a short haircut that was far shorter than I like in all areas. I don't like it when my explicit instructions are ignored as I'm not trying to look stylish or contemporary as I never left the 80's preppy style and that's where I'm staying. I liked the location and building but it seems you've really got to be careful with which stylist you book with.

I had an appointment with Ashely. She helped me fix a really bad highlight that I got a week previous. I really liked the prices and quality of the die and cut I received. I got blonde highlights and the only issue I had was finding that my roots were showing more than I wanted the next day, but nothing anyone would really notice. The color was great and Ashley was great with managing her time and making sure I was done right one time.

While looking for a haircut at aveda the girl just said to me. " do you have an appointment" and as a small lined formed behind me she just looked past me and to the next customer. She did not explain anything just felt very cold and impersonal. After walking out of Aveda feeling discouraged with the cookie cutter design and the rude girls behind the counter, i decided to walk right next door to Twisted Hair Salon.

Well let me start by saying, i like independent quirky things, and i like the small artsy stores, not the large brand names which feel so impersonal

I've been getting my hair cut by hair school students for years so my bar is pretty low, but I loved getting my hair cut at Twisted today! My hairstylist, Ashley, was attentive, very skilled, and friendly. The atmosphere is cool, I love the art on the walls and the music. The prices are reasonable. It was a quick, painless, enjoyable experience. I will definitely be going back!

If i could give this salon more than five stars i would!
i was incredibly nervous to get my hair cut, as i had been lucky enough in my previous city to have some incredibly gifted stylists as friends, so it had been years since i had gone into a real salon and let a stranger have their way with my hair.

Nicole has been cutting/coloring my hair for a few years now. I always get complements on both. Despite the fact that my hair still has a mind of its own, Nicole is able to work with it and make me look presentable.

The space is open and airy (although on the 2nd floor so if you have issues with stairs then this place isn't for you). The salon staff is lovely and I love getting my confirmation text messages in advance.

I've had long hair my whole life. Nicole had suggested I try it short a few times, but never pushed me.

I finally went for it last summer. She knew I wouldn't spend any time styling it. Literally, no time - I take a shower and walk out the door. She also knew I was absolutely terrified. I told her to do whatever she wanted, as long as it was no shorter than chin length.

It looked great and was exactly what I asked for - NO maintenance, chin length - but she thought it would be even better if we stacked the back a little more. I was too scared, so she offered

Love Twisted and LOVE LOVE LOVE Christina! She's been cutting my hair for about a year now and it's consistently one of the best cuts I've ever had. The first time I went t her she listened carefully to what I was asking her to do, and gave me EXACTLY what I had asked for. Plus, she's fast and easy to talk to. What more can you ask for? I even got my husband to go in for a cut, which he never does. Christina did a great job on his thinning hairline--it really looked fuller and healthier when she was done. She is a peach!

First I want to apologize to the staff of Twisted for not writing this review sooner. I have been there twice and I will keep coming back. My girl, Gerlaine has cut my hair twice and I'm always happy with the results. She even trims my beard!

The other staff here are friendly and like to talk with the customers. I actually stayed there for an extra 20 minutes just hanging out. The Atmosphere is pretty cool as they converted a house-type building and made it funky.
