A Co-op is a nonprofit organization administered and maintained by parents of the children who attend. A Board elected by the member parents governs the school. The staff includes teachers with degrees in early childhood or early elementary education and teachers' aides. Being a Co-op helps reduce the cost of tuition.

It also gives parents a unique opportunity to meet and work with their child's teacher, his/her friends, parents of classmates, and to observe their child in school. Tour the classrooms, meet the teachers, chat with other parents, and register your little one for the 2021-2022 school year!

I am a mother of 3 (2 of whom attended the Co-op) and a grandmother of 2 (both of whom attended our school). I have a degree in Early Childhood Education from U.C. and have been at the Co-op for 31 years! I love working with pre-school children and helping them to develop a love of learning. I want them to think that school is the best place to be, other than with their families.
Joanie Whittaker is an award-winning children's musician who frequently visits the Co-op to sing with our preschoolers. Her album "When the Sun Shines" is available on Amazon Music. You can watch live performances of her songs on Miss Joanie's YouTube channel! Firefighter Julie, aka Julie Sheets, is a fire prevention educator, firefighter, and EMT with the Greenhills Volunteer Fire Department.

I’m not even sure how to begin explaining what this special place means to our family. As a parent, you want your child’s first experience with school to be positive. It can be a big change for little people. The Co-op is the perfect transition between home and “formal” school for 3, 4, and 5 year olds. They learn so much, but the environment created by the teachers is so loving and supportive that they never feel pressured or pushed. The teachers’ many years of experience working with young children gives them an understanding of just what these little ones need to flourish. Because
