Our martial arts team is empowered to be exceptional in all that they do on and off the mats. Together, we WIN as a TEAM. More importantly, we heavily focus on outcomes -- not on taking credit. Lastly, we strive to raise the bar and to exceed our own standards. We don't settle for just "good enough."
They are wonderful - great teachers, clean space, flexible with schedules, very accommodating. I have been going to this studio for 12 years now (started when I was 5) and it truly is one of the best if not the best thing that has ever happened to me. Everyone who goes there is all just one big family and we always love getting new members.
General: When Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) cancels their afternoon and evening activities for inclement weather, so does CMAA for the first TWO consecutive days FCPS are closed for an inclement weather incident. After that we take it on a day by day basis.
In that situation we will make the decision by 11:00am on the third consecutive day as to whether we will be open that day or not and that decision will be final, and we will not backtrack on the 11am decision even if conditions improve.Our staff needs to know how they should plan for the remainder of their day.

Age 4 or 5 is a good age for parents to help their children build good character and develop traits like discipline and respect. Our Little Ninjas Program is specially designed to help children develop good moral traits, while at the same time having fun with new friends. This class concentrates on developing coordination, balance, focus, respect, and discipline of Martial Arts, which they will also carry out at the school.

This school is truly above standard! I respect how the Instructors and coaches lead by example. I’ve always been an intense type of person. I push myself and this school really allows a person like me to do so. At the same time it’s great to see how all students are equally motivated by the leaders despite their level of experience. I can’t wait for the next class!

CMAA is incredible. My boys have been going for a couple of years and they both love it. The trainers are amazing with kids. They teach discipline while keeping things fun. They use a mix of forms, sparring, and games to teach solid martial arts skills. They engage the entire family in the learning process. We have all become part of the CMAA crew!

Capitol Martial Arts Academy has professional and caring staff. They do more than just teach martial arts, they instill good values that help contribute to the student becoming a good member of their community.
Respect for parents, instructors, and others is reinforced in every class. To get promoted you must demonstrate more than just your knowledge, skill, and ability, but you must be respectful. A family has been used to describe how you are treated, and that is accurate.
