Services
Animal General of Cranberry Township opened its doors in 2001. What started as a one-doctor practice has grown into a diverse four-doctor team dedicated to providing exceptional care for your beloved family pets. We pride ourselves on staying educated and current with the highest standard of care and compassion offered in today&s veterinary practices.
We have been taking our pets here for years. The care and knowledge they provide is second to none. They develop a connection with your pets just like you do. Even when it comes time to make that awful decision you must make as a pet owner they are right by your side and try to make the process as painless for you and your animal as they can.
We provide a wide range of veterinary services for the pets you love, from simple check-ups and dental care to surgical procedures in our modern surgical suite as well as veterinary emergency. Our staff members provide a wide range of preventive care services, including vaccinations, nutrition counseling, wellness services and client education with our local vets.
It's the same scenario for your dog or cat. While some people might laugh at the idea of brushing their pet's teeth or taking them for a dental cleaning, the fact is that by age three, most dogs and cats have some evidence of periodontal disease. Periodic dental exams help maintain proper oral hygiene and prevent future problems.
Just like you, we want your dog to live the longest, healthiest life possible. That starts with the basics: quality food, enough exercise, and yes, regular check-ups. Annual exams are your pet's first line of defense. Animal General of Cranberry's comprehensive exam includes checking their overall health by taking their temperature, examining skin and coat, lung and cardiac function, internal health, oral hygiene, eyes, ears, and demeanor.

Dr. Nico was wonderful with my dog Jake he was very thorough and really explained everything to me. He gave me several options on things he could do to treat my dog. They made us feel at home and they were all so welcoming from Dr. Nico to Sharon who welcomed us to the practice it was a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend this veterinary practice for your needs they really care about your pets and it shows. I will be making my next appointment for Jake's brother Dio as we've found our family veterinarian.

Best Vet Experience ever! My dog seems to have allergies, itching like crazy, we moved and I needed to have a vet to look at him, called and got an appt next day. Turns out it was in one week, we had some confusion.
They were super busy but took him curbside in spite of the confusion
….here is the best part. The Vet took time to discuss options and things to do to identify what allergies my dog has. I actually feel empowered with next steps. I am so thankful!

We took our sick guinea pig. The dr. Explained what was wrong. It was something I missed for the guinea pig. But never shaming me for not knowing. Offered advice didn’t want to give up on him. The techs went above and beyond. When we took our little guy to be put to sleep as he wasn’t healing, they treated him like he was one of their own. There aren’t many exotic animal vets but this one is worth the drive.

I cannot say enough about Dr.Mike. Our 6 year old dog Norman had a significant decrease in mobility over a few months to the point where we thought he was going to be unable to walk or do anything in the near future. He was tripping constantly, dragging his paws, couldn’t go up steps etc. We paid thousands for an MRI with a neurologist to get inconclusive results and a steroid that didn’t work for him and were completely hopeless. We had also been to several other vets. Then we heard about Dr. Mike. He went through our dogs history and results and recommended a stem cell treatment that no other
