Our 5 and 6 year olds are our most enthusiastic students in our kids martial arts classes. Our 5 and 6 year olds are the most enthusiastic students. They love creativity and problem solving, which makes them ideal students in the Martial Arts. The dilemma we discovered is they are so progressive in following tasks that teachers tend to treat them like their older peers.

They are physically competent and capable of excelling in most physical tasks presented to them. Ten to fifteen-year olds are the smartest students in the school. Yes, they can be as smart as most adults! The challenge with this group is they are so focused on what is socially acceptable they often have a hard time keeping themselves emotionally directed to the task at hand.
