Carolyn is a third generation San Diego native. She has been working as a business administrator with Dr. Salazar and Dr. Schreiner for over 14 years. Prior to working in the dental field, she had a strong background in business customer service and satisfaction. Dr. Schreiner, originally from Rancho Palos Verdes in Southern California, earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of California, San Diego, and graduated in 2002 from the UCLA School of Dentistry with Dean's Honors, receiving the American Academy of Oral Medicine Award. After graduation from UCLA, Dr. Schreiner completed a one-year general practice residency at the UCLA - VA Sepulveda dental facility.

A crown I had cracked and completely broke late this past Thursday night. I was scheduled to fly back east for my nephews wedding on Friday. My dentist is off on Friday. I didn’t know who to call. I read the reviews for Purely Dental and called their office early Friday morning. Carolyn and the rest of the staff went above and beyond and fit me into their morning schedule. The whole staff was amazing!

Dr. James Salazar is phenomenal! I won't go anywhere else! Not only does he really care about the health of your teeth, he's super patient, gentle, takes his time and will gives thoughtful answers! I know it sounds too good to be true! So lucky to have him right around the corner from my house. Love his receptionist Carolyn! She makes that office run so smoothly! Dr. Salazar takes the time and effort to consider your mouth and health as a whole rather than just filling one cavity at a time. I also really like his communication (the show and tell). With other dentists I felt like I was at an auto mechanic and they were telling me the Fetzer Valve needed to be replaced. You just have to either believe them, or not. Dr. Salazar provides evidence and communication at every step. Finally, the office is well run. This is important because it means that I have never shown up for an appointment and waited. They have always been on-time.

Dr. Salazar and his team provide the best dental care I have experienced. He combines artistic attention to detail with professional expertise and a warm personality to make going to the dentist an enjoyable experience. I rarely smiled and required extensive work to correct my teeth and I'm delighted with the outcome! Other dentists wanted to do surgery on my jaw to realign my teeth and Dr. Salazar was able to realign the bite without surgery. I have been a patient of Dr. Salazar's for over 10 years. About five years ago I moved to LA from San Diego. I still drive two hours to see Dr. Salazar at least once a year when it is x-ray time. I truly trust him reading my x-rays. I have a dentist that I see in LA for cleanings and emergencies, but Dr. Salazar is still my dentist!
