In order to provide her patients with the best possible standard of care, she continues in her pursuit of further education to stay on the cutting edge of the latest advances in Dentistry.
I have more than 14 years of experience in the field of dentistry. I began my career with Dr. Simmons office in 2013 and have embraced the core values of integrity, transparency, professionalism and excellence. During my time in dentistry I have obtained many hours of continuing education in areas such as Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry and much more to aid in providing excellent care to our patients.
I am originally an Orange County native, but I did my schooling at Azusa Pacifica University and Northern Arizona University. I then decided to move south and try out the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. Originally my intention was to reside there for a year or so but 16 years later, I have finally made it back to beautiful California.
Hi, I am Stephanie. I am excited to be a part of Dr. Simmon's team, helping out on the days I can. I have been in the Dentistry field for over 24 years. My passion for preventative health and caring for others lead me to earn my Dental Hygiene Degree in 1997. My husband and I moved to Encinitas in 2003 from the San Francisco Bay area.
Bonding is a popular method to enhance the aesthetics of your smile. Bonding can be used to correct cracks or gaps in teeth, as a filling after a cavity has been removed, or to cover up stains or discolored teeth. A composite resin is used on the affected tooth or teeth. It is molded and sculpted over an adhesive gel that is placed on the tooth.

Absolutely amazing experience! Dr. Simmons and her team are truly exceptional in every way. I have to credit Dr. Simmons for the success of her team because it all starts with her and the tone that she sets in the office. My tooth broke last night while eating soft Thai noodles of all things, nothing crunchy or hard, I called didn't think anyone would be there but they were and were willing to see me if I could get there right away last night but I couldn't so they took me this morning at 7 AM and Dr. Simmons and her team worked their magic. I have been going to Dr. Simmons for about a year and a half. Do my regular exams, cleanings, and cosmetic dentistry here. She and her staff are very attentive and kind. I always leave feeling like I have a beautiful healthy smile. She recently replaced a veneer and crown on My two front teeth that Have been replaced multiple times by other dentists only to have difficulties later. My newest ones fit perfectly and look great. What a wonderful experience my 4 & 5 year old had visiting the dentist today. The entire team starting at the front desk and into the dentists chairs were top notch. Friendly, warm, gentle and efficient. Plus, the modern offices included high tech X-ray machines and personal flatscreens patients can watch during the treatments :) Def recommend. Plus, my kids got to pick out toys to keep from their toy bin and they are great items! They also got Disney toothbrushes, toothpaste and learned how to brush. Win, win. Take away? My kids can’t wait to go to the dentist again, tomorrow they said. Yay

I visited Dr Simmons to see about getting dental work repaired from a previous dentist who did a poor job.
I found Dr Simmons smart and helpful and she was able to help me resolve some of my issues.
However, one of my primary questions (I asked multiple times) in my visits was to see if I had any metal filling or crowns so I could have them removed. Previous to meeting Dr Simmons I had tested positive for mercury so this was one of my primary concerns.
In multiple occasions, Dr. Simmons assured me that I had no metal crowns or metal fillings from previous dentists. Having trusted her, I

The staff has been professional & quite likeable! Very competent with progressive equipment and the most detailed cleaning, initial exam we have both experienced in years.
Also, Dr Simmons called it straight as to necessary dental work and didn't as so many Dentists today, just try to push you towards implants.
I love the office design, especially the ceiling that can "almost" take you to Paris! My husband and I would encourage you to Dr Simmons dental practice and we look forward to being their patients.

Since I hadn't planned my dental cleanings very well, I appreciate that Dr. Simmons's office continued to follow up with me to make sure I was seen and to graciously offer me a choice of two cancelled appointments this busy Thanksgiving week. The staff are always kind, friendly, and super professional. My teeth cleaning went smoothly, and I was in and out in no time. I purchased a teeth bleaching refill kit so my teeth will not only be clean, but very white soon!

I have been coming to Dr. Simmons for 6 years and couldn't be happier! Going to the dentist shouldn't be scary and she and her team always make you feel comfortable. My 86 year old mom ( who is afraid of going to the dentist ) saw her last month and was thrilled with the results! I have always had a dreadful fear of going to the dentist. It has always been a painful and anxiety filled topic for me. I decided to see Dr. Simmons because she was right across the hallway from my office. So it was convenient. I explained my fears and she was so sweet to calm my nerves. So much so that I have been going to her for almost 10 years now. The atmosphere is soothing and the office always smells amazing. Her staff are the best of the best. I have referred all my co-workers to her and my husband as well. As long as I have teeth in my mouth, I will continue to see her.

Truly my favorite dentist ever! The office is clean and comfortable and the entire staff is so kind! Dr. Simmons has gone above and beyond multiple times (coming in on her day off to help and staying during lunch another time). She is very personable and puts you at ease. Additionally, she works quickly (which we all want at the dentist) and is so kind! I would drive any distance to keep coming here!

Professional, honest and very kind service is what you'll get when you visit here. Recommendations are made but never pushed when it comes to extras (like non essential products) which are made in relation to something relevant to you. I definitely feel taken care of and drive an hour from Orange County because trust is a really big deal when it comes to my teeth.

Dr. Simmons is the best!! She is always so accommodating and will always leave the choice up to you when she gives suggestions on what procedures you need done. She always gives a break down for you and never pressures you to make a decision right away. I did clear correct with her and I'm sooooo happy with my results. I'm so happy I finally found a dentist and not dreading to go to the dentist anymore

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Simmons for a couple years and we are very pleased! Dr. Simmons and her staff are always timely and knowledgeable. They have been very accommodating when I had to bring my young son along for my appointments. I have a worn a mouth guard for grinding for years and she worked closely with me to customize just the right one, which was a big improvement over my old school one. I really appreciated that. I have been going to Dr. Simmons for over 16 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. She has cutting edge technology and runs an ethical, patient-centric practice. I was always so scared of the dentist. Of course Dr. Simmons' office get's a five star! Staff is awesome and friendly. I love that I get email notifications when I schedule an appointment and a reminder email when the date is getting close. The environment is relaxing and they have tv's to watch while they are working on your teeth. That's a fun option to have.

My entire family goes to Dr. Simmons. We have been seeing Dr. Simmons for a very long time. She is top notch and thorough. She uses the latest technology and her and her staff are super friendly. I absolutely love Dr. Simmons and her staff. I came to see her when I was in the middle of a crisis - or at least, a little one. I had tripped and chipped one of my front teeth. Take my word for it when I say that I am very, very protective of my teeth and have worked hard my whole life for them to look good. I was heartbroken. I was even more heartbroken when I priced out possible fixes.

I discovered Dr. Maricela Simmons' office when I was working in Solana Beach. The office location is extremely convenient in Encinitas off the I-5 Freeway exiting Santa Fe Dr.
The entire staff cannot be any friendlier and they all do such a wonderful job. She is a perfectionist and enjoys what she does. They are flexible in scheduling and are always professional.
