Nipper Home Inspection Service
Rest assured that your home inspection will be performed by an experienced, knowledgeable professional who as a building science expert has a unique ability to observe, examine, understand and explain how defects affect the house systems. My findings have stood up in legal proceedings. My home inspections are performed from a whole house perspective.

Houses must be considered as an integrated environment with all their components and systems functioning smoothly together. Findings are documented in a professional, easy to understand, well-written home inspection report. Defects are explained in detail with as little technical jargon as possible.
Services
Rick Nipper is a Licensed Home Inspector, a Licensed General Contractor and Building Science Expert. He is President of Nipper Home Inspection Services, Inc. and Nipper Home Solutions. Rick is a native of Raleigh, NC and a graduate of East Carolina University. Rick has a keen eye and is an expert in problem-solving all things "houses."
Everyone should get a home inspection for a new house even if you think your builder is the greatest builder ever. I hired Rick Nipper to inspect my new home during the construction phase and it was a smart move for me. Rick discovered several problems that the builder did not think were significant and therefore he did not fix them.
As home sellers, in addition to decluttering and staging, one of the best strategies to make the sales process go quicker and smoother is to get a Pre-Listing Home Inspection. Even the best maintained homes will have defects or problem areas of which the most knowledgeable home sellers may not be aware.
New home buyers are not usually aware of how fragmented the home building industry can be. Builders typically rely on subcontracted labor that operate independently. There are a wide range of suppliers for the building materials. It's a complex management process. The industry is not very receptive to making changes in the processes.
If you have bought a new house, your builder may or may not notify you near the 11th month that it's time for your warranty repair list. This will be your last opportunity to have your builder perform work on your home while the builder is still responsible and at no cost to you. Besides nail pops in the sheetrock and floor squeaks, how do you determine what items go on the warranty list?

Hands down the best in the Triangle. I would not buy a house or let a friend buy a house without having Nipper inspect it! He is also excellent at checking for radon and mold and coming up with effective solutions.

Rick Nipper recently provided home inspection services for my son, Kyle, who's buying a property in Raleigh, NC. I knew of Rick and heard some very positive things about him and his services. I referred Kyle to Rick and that was probably the best thing that could have happened. Rick was able to schedule the inspection in a very workable time frame. He spent the better part of a day going over every system on the property. He didn't leave a leaf unturned. I spoke to my son the next day and he relayed to me that he was up late the night before and heard his email chime at around midnight. Next morning
