Italy's martial arts heritage is especially rich, and Northwest Fencing Academy is a school dedicated to the practice of Traditional Italian Swordplay and Martial Arts. Founded in 1997, the Academy provides professional instruction and training programs in the medieval art of Longsword, Polearms, Grappling, and Dagger (collectively known as Armizare), the elegant SideSword of the Renaissance, and the deadly 19th century Dueling Sabre.

Northwest Fencing Academy is a school dedicated to the practice of Traditional Italian Fencing, Historical Swordplay, and Medieval Martial Arts. Founded in 1997, the Academy provides organized professional instruction and complete training programs in foil, epee and sabre fencing, as well as the medieval arts of sword & shield, longsword, and polearms (collectively known as Armizare).
I certify my child is a 4J Student Who Will Enter Grade 6, 7, or 8 in Fall 2021 OR participated in the Summer 2021 Sword Program. This is a grant-supported 6 month membership for middle school students who are currently enrolled in a 4J Middle School program or who were enrolled in the Summer 2021 program.
We are developing a library of courses designed to teach martial arts - specifically Medieval and Renaissance Italian Martial Arts - in an online learning environment.
