Take a moment to learn more about us; Community Health Care is a private, non-profit organization created in 1987 when the clinic system moved from the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department to become a stand-alone set of clinics after several years of operation by that organization.
The history of the clinic system now known as Community Health Care dates to 1969 when local physicians and concerned citizens, recognizing the need for access to quality healthcare for Pierce County's low-income and underinsured residents, established two volunteer clinics to help fill that void. Our Mission is to provide the highest quality healthcare with compassionate and accessible service for all.

Local physicians, government, and private organizations came together in 1987 to create Community Health Care (CHC) as a private, non-profit organization focused on meeting the needs of the underserved. Since that time continued support has allowed CHC to grow to a network of five medical and four dental clinics.
Community Health Care's mission is: "To provide the highest quality healthcare with compassionate and accessible service for all." We have a commitment to provide quality, exceptional, and compassionate care to the diverse population of Pierce County, being sensitive to patient and family needs and not influenced by lifestyle, race, color, or creed of patients.
Community Health Care is a Patient-Centered Medical Home providing services for your entire family. Our patients have their own health care team that uses a whole care approach which identifies your medical, dental, pharmacy, behavioral health, and specialty needs. Your provider will order tests, procedures and specialty referrals based on care needs that you identify together.
In 1968, Pierce County Hospital, which served uninsured and low-income residents, closed its doors. Community leaders met to find a way to help individuals access needed medical care. From this meeting, Community Health Care was born. At Community Health Care, no one is denied care because of inability to pay.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE MASSECRE OF AN EXPERIENCE!!!
I needed to get a measles injection and it was the second round. The first round they gave me an appointment on 13 Dec.
Guess what!?!?!? "NO STOCK"
They don't even notify us beforehand. I purposely took a day off just to get the injection. What am I supposed to do now?!?!?! The counter lady asked us to call their number to ask for availability.
Firstly, can't they check themselves
Secondly, I called the number, only to be rejected thrice, THRICE! WHAT TYPE OF A SERVICE NUMBER IS THAT
When I went back to the counter to ask, she was bold enough

I called SATA to book a health screening appointment. A staff by the name Daffney (hope I got the spellings correct) answered the phone after a long wait. She was rude on the phone and did not know the meaning of customer service. I had to raise my voice to control the conversation. This is the 2nd time I experience bad telephone behavior by a SATA staff. I am rating 'two stars' because she provided the required information.

Pre-departure test centre? Dont bother. Time waster. Didnt even get to make an appointment after numerous calls confirming that my proposed date for the test is within my destination's requirements. The operator obviously knows better. In the end, the operator said they were not confident of delivering the results in 48 hours.

Superb service. 1st time there. Thot to try this out since I've tried the other private medical places for health screening before. Dr Laura was very attentive n detailed, n she explained every line item on the health report n gave suggestions on what to look out for. The nurses were also friendly despite them having to run a few tasks concurrently.. I do not regret coming all the way here although I stay in the far west. Free breakfast sandwiches n drinks were available after health screening :)

Called the hotline which was a call centre to enquire about the ART test. Call centre lady was unpleasant, impatient and borderline rude, but gave assurance that I would be able to take the test upon walk in. Requested for the number of the medical centre but was flatly denied. Upon arrival at the medical centre, turns out they had a system error and is unable to conduct the test, referred me to their other branches. Extremely disappointing service at the call centre, further disappointed at the medical centre for the lack of solutions even after explaining my circumstances and sharing possible

Terrible and Irrational swap test centre.
Visit my GP at 3.30pm and given referral letter to do immediate swap test. Reached SATA Commhealth Uttamram Bedok at arount 4pm with opening hourse till 5pm. Also seen their healthcare workers sitting at the swap centre but was rejected by the nurse at their door due to all samples was sent to lab at 11am. Request us to re-visit tomorrow. Does this swap centre comply with MOH requirement? Can't they perform the test and keep the samples for the lab the next day? Re-vist the next day means more risk exposure to others if we are tested positive? The reason

Medical check up was swift and the radiographer was really friendly. However, the patient service was horrible… Totally taken aback by how rude and inpatient some of the admin staff and nurses appeared to be… Wonder where is the EMPATHY and professionalism. I find it unnecessary for them to scrutinise patients move and be overly stern with them. Simple acts like greeting the patient and friendly conversations can really make someone’s day. Also, nobody is there to guide the way or answer queries readily from patients especially first timers and the older folks who may be confused! Hopefully

Firstly came across the service staff, and their questionable sharp tone stood out to me.
But the medical checkup staff was another level of overboard with stern and horrifying attitude. The overbearing behaviour scrutinising patients every move and rudely telling off to an extreme point. It left a truly unpleasant and uncomfortable rest of experience.
Advise to treat patients kindly and professionally. People should feel safe at ease and not threatened coming into checkups. Don’t unfairly expect them to know the whole order process and it’s paperwork.

My filling came out within a couple hours of getting it it. They make you come in to make appointments seems like a waste of time. It takes 4 appointments to get your teeth cleaned because they only can clean 1/4 of your mouth at a time. front desk people tell you the wrong information. Dentist filled in a tooth but left a cavity inside instead of… dealing with it. most real dentist spend at least 1/2 hour with patients they are with you 5 to 10 min. The dental hygienist seemed nice but disregarded what the dentist said. This is absolutely the worst place ever. I went to the spanaway location

Who ever does the hiring of the telephone staff and the staff at the front desk at Eastside community health care should take the time to evaluate the ppl they hire. Their staff at the front desk are racist and rude those women are lazy they text while on the clock. They don't listen if theirs a line they take their sweet time checking people in… rather your on time or not they will treat you with pure hate and disrespect.it was told to me today "IF YOUR 1 MINUTE LATE ITS A RESCHEDULE" AND YOU CANT SEE THE DR I WAS LIVID I did not catch the woman's name but if it was up to me she would not

A family member moved in with us, from AZ, 3 years ago. She was already diagnosed with moderate dementia. We had all her records transferred to CHC hilltop. Recently, the provider there gave her a vaccine that the FDA says to NOT give to a person with neurological disorders. After about a decade of extremely slow progress, she had a major crash in… her dementia. Her neurologist was very upset and said NOBODY with dementia should get vaccines. Her dementia is so severe now that she needs to be placed in a memory care facility. We need the provider to sign paperwork saying she will take care
