Wonderbloom is based in an outdoor classroom. We take a holistic approach to learning by focusing on Mind (developmentally-appropriate school readiness), Body (yoga and organic nutrition), and Soul (relationships with each other and nature). Our ratios are small with no more than 8 students per adult.
Wonderbloom teachers are trained to engage your child's natural curiosity in order to take advantage of learning opportunities. We base our curriculum on developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and current early childhood research. Each day we incorporate kindergarten readiness skills through a holistic and play-based approach using materials and topics from the natural world.

Services
Wonderbloom is a mission of Almitas Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to improving lives through nature-based learning. We have opportunities for you to get involved and change the lives of children in Salt Lake City. We would love to have you join our team as a classroom teacher!
After quickly outgrowing our first location, Wonderbloom has found a fantastic place to take root. The administrative wing was constructed in 2006, it is overlooked by the beautiful, historic cathedral which was constructed in 1870. Although the nature playschool is housed on the cathedral property, we are not affiliated with the Episcopal Diocese of Utah or the Cathedral Church of St. Mark.
Your child does not need to be potty trained to attend. Teachers will do their best to support your child's toilet learning efforts, but you'll want to send them to school in a diaper if they are not fully capable of using the potty independently. Yes, we are licensed through the Utah Department of Health's Child Care Licensing program.

My kids attended 2 weeks last summer for Summer camp. They both had a really great time and wanted to go back. I love that it is mostly outside and that they focus on nature. She also incorporates mindfulness which we love. We hope to attend a few weeks next summer. Only wish it wasn't a bit of a drive for us, otherwise we would love to attend all year.

My daughter attended nature school at the Directors (Sarah Stone) home prior to her opening Wonderbloom. We absolutely loved the philosophy and she has such an amazing program! Our daughter adored all of the time spent outdoors, learned so much about nature, and created so many happy memories there. Sarah is brilliant and kind and the kids loved her. It surpassed my expectations, so we were thrilled when Wonderbloom was opened! The new facility is perfect, both inside and out. My youngest daughter will now be attending Wonderbloom for the entire academic year 2019-20, and both of them will attend
