With our Kids Martial Arts programs, we seek to build the character of even our youngest students through the training of Knoxville's best Martial Arts instructors!
Designed for ages 13 and up, our Adult Martial Arts courses combine the core techniques of kickboxing, the essentials of Self Defense, and the powerful ground game offered by Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Our classes are fast, fun, and exciting, and focus on cultivating fitness while also teaching vital self-defense techniques.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a ground-focused fighting style with an emphasis on leg strikes and grappling. Knoxville Academy of Martial Arts boasts some of the best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructors in the Knoxville and Farragut areas, and has designed a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program guaranteed to improve students' self-defense skills and physical abilities.
Our son has been at KAMA for a little over a year and he absolutely loves it! The instructors are all wonderful. They really love the kids and are so enthusiastic. They have high standards and they hold the kids to them. Since our son started karate, we have noticed him improve in several areas such as coordination, physical fitness, and self-control.

This is a fantastic place for you or your children to learn martial arts. My son has been welcomed by the KAMA family ever since he first stepped through the dojo doors. Everyone there has made it a point to make sure my son's felt included and knows what he's doing at all times when he goes to classes.
The owner, Master B., is just a stellar human being overall. He takes time to answer all your questions and makes sure you know what's expected and what you're getting into when you sign up.

They are AWESOME! My son is pretty timid but he’s grown so much in this class already. The instructors always look like they really enjoy the kids. I’m the type of person who watches expressions to see how they react when the kids act up. It’s obvious they really enjoy their job which is so good to see!

We have just started coming and my son (7) loves it. The first day was a little intimidating for him but one of the instructors sat patiently with us in the back and explained everything that the class was doing until my son was ready to join the group. He left excited for his next class and told his siblings about all the cool stuff he learned. I’ve already seen improvements in his coordination and confidence after just a few classes. The studio is clean and the instructors are knowledgeable and great with the age group. Would recommend.

We love the KAMA experience and family! Our son who can be a little timid was made to feel so welcome and comfortable immediately and he has jumped right in! His energy and confidence is soaring along with his focus and listening skills. We couldn’t be happier with the professional dojo, flexible schedules, weekly themes, and engaging instructors. Such a great place to be! We look forward to getting our youngest involved as soon as he is old enough. We started our son at KAMA just to see if he'd like karate as an activity and he did. We've kept him at KAMA, however, because of how awesome Master Butturini and his instructors are at teaching the students not only karate, but respect for self and others, confidence, and how much character matters. Those are all things we teach our son as well, and it's awesome to see them reinforced at an activity he loves.
We were thrilled when KAMA started an after school program, and happily switched our son over to it.

My six year old son recently started the beginner class at KAMA. In just one month we have seen a dramatic improvement in his ability to focus. He is also demonstrating exceptional manners during interactions with adults. I love KAMA and I am so thankful for what they are doing in my son’s life.
We also enjoyed a fantastic birthday party that wore all of the kids out! It was great as well!!

My son began martial arts here back in November of 2015. It has been life changing for our whole family. I now take karate and my husband plans on joining soon as well. I have made so many friendships and this school takes their classes well beyond just martial arts. I have seen changes in my son's athletic ability and his character as well. As a teacher I LOVE how KAMA encourages strong character traits and works with the classroom to encourage respectful behavior at school, at home and everywhere.

My daughter has been a student at KAMA for a year now. In that time, her athleticism, endurance, capability, and confidence has grown in leaps and bounds. She really enjoys the classes and she loves the instructors. They build up the kids and the adults who take classes from them and are an inspiration to them all. I am so happy this is where we decided to take our daughter for karate lessons and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking the martial arts.
