Laban Propst, is a black belt under Lucas Lepri of Alliance and is one of the most accomplished and decorated jiu jitsu athletes in Tennessee and the South Eastern United States. If you're considering taking BJJ with Laban, you couldn't make a better investment into yourself. He's the real deal and if you'll do the work, he'll make you a champion. I train at their sister school in Oak Ridge but a lot of the guys train at both and they're all monsters on the mat and people of real character and compassion. I'm also a student of psychology, and to know your body and it's movement is to know your MIND and it's movement. Know yourself. My kids have been a part of Labans children's classes in the past and the amount of time and patience he shows on a daily basis is 2nd to none. My daughters have greatly benefited from his kids classes.
I myself recently joined and coming from a background of no martial arts, I feel comfortable asking questions with out reservation of being looked down on. I strongly recommend these classes for everyone.

This is an awesome martial arts gym- the people, the atmosphere, and especially the instructor Laban! I haven't been doing jiu jitsu for very long, but just seeing how close knit everyone is is incredibly motivating. As a relatively new person, I see so much value in how technical Laban is in making sure students understand the mechanics and the "why" behind movements. Would highly recommend classes for anyone, especially if you are just a beginner looking for a place to build a strong foundation!

I’ve attended a couple classes in their old and new facility, and the people who train here and the leaders who operate it are truly superb. The owner Laban is humble and real to work with, and is an expert in Jiu Jitsu. Omar has helped me multiple times now, both with enrolling and on the mat, and has gone above and beyond in providing incredible customer service. This gym is definitely worth investing yourself into, because they do the same for their customers.

I have never been so impressed with an instructor's ability to work with kids. My son loves his BJJ classes with Laban Propst (Mr. P) and is learning so many skills that will help him throughout his life. Of near equal importance, families are truly welcomed in the facility. It's easy to be comfortable with Laban and his staff teaching---because they're happy to have you watch and because they're terrific people. Lucas Lepri Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Knoxville is a professional, family oriented martial arts school focused on teaching Jiu Jitsu and developing its students. It’s very welcoming, and is my second home. Laban does a fantastic job as an instructor and mentor, and the facility is top notch. Learning Jiu Jitsu at Lucas Lepri Knoxville has made me more resilient, and has taught me that I am capable of much more than what I originally thought. I can’t recommend Lucas Lepri Knoxville enough. The facility is also very clean!

Our family has been training here for about a year and we absolutely love it! The quality of instruction is truly world class! Learning BJJ has brought new confidence to each of the kids and it encourages me to know that they have the tools to protect themselves if the need ever arises. My son has been with Laban for 3 years now. Laban has created something truly special that is hard to find at other gyms. The people that train here are the best. There is a real family atmosphere here. Everyone here goes above and beyond to help each other get better.
