Latefa was born and raised by her mom in the heart of Durham, NC. With her father passing away when she was just eight months old, her mother was forced to be a single parent. Latefa made a vow to herself to work hard and not allow the circumstances of life to hinder her success. In 1999, she graduated from high school and started college.
In 2005, at the age of 24, with nothing but a car full of clothes and a few hundred dollars, she moved to Atlanta, GA with big dreams. Her thoughts were, "I didn't know what success looked like, but I was determined to define it." Upon moving to Atlanta, Latefa enrolled in AIU Atlanta, where she continued pursuing her education with majoring in Fashion Design.

1st I wanna start by saying the lady I booked wasn’t the one to do my hair . No one even called to tell me that the stylist I booked wasn’t going to be the one to do my hair . Tay did a terrible job on my sew in . The braids are lose , and my sew in is pretty much falling about now . It is 12/19 & my appointment was 12/16 . Tay didn’t even glue my closure come and is terrible at laying baby hairs . I had to go home and try to fix my own hair .$156 down the drain and I will be calling for a refund back to my card . I paid entirely too much for my bundles all for Tay to ruin my style . She

My hair has literally flourished under her care and I enjoy my regular visits. She's priced fairly and knows her craft. From silk presses, to box braids and my regular in between trims, those protein treatments and deep conditions keep my hair happy and healthy. I met Navjar M years ago when she first started out and I needed my hair done ASAP and he made it happen. I was highly impressed with her professionalism and how attentive she was to customers. She explained what and why she was using certain products as well as tips on keeping my hair healthy. She was a joy and funny when I met her and she still is. Also..Props for getting me in and out in a timely manner!! I will definitely be back!!!

I have sat in almost every single stylist seat and had a fantastic experience! Sam does my box braids and knotless braids! Clean and neat every time and she always makes sure the size is good for me before she keeps braiding. Latefa, the owner, does my sew ins and frontals and its always blended PERFECTLY! Christian did my first ever passion twists and they had the most compliments! Navjar is queen of the natural hair!! 💗 All in all this a beautiful black owned business who services allll races and treats their clients great! You can see I don’t do many reviews but they deserve all the accolades

Lala made me feel right at home. She was ready on time and has such a relaxed demeanor, so I had a good feeling about the results of my hair. The whole time there’s great conversation and everyone was friendly. I was so satisfied with my crochets more than any I have ever had. She did a TOTALLY DIFFERENT METHOD and my head doesn’t hurt and there’s no crochet hump! It doesn’t even look crocheted but like individuals! I recommend Lala HANDS DOWN, she is great!

Samantha was surprised and also excited when she found out I wanted pink and blonde waist-length medium knotless braids. She got the hair and it was the exact colors I wanted. She was professional and super friendly. We had a great time while she was braiding and when it was done I was more than pleased with the results. Can't wait to try another style, but I think I will be sticking with the same colors. Very reasonable prices and worth every cent!

I have gotten braids by Desiree several times. Desiree is fast and serious about her work. I always feel beautiful when I leave her chair and the compliments always come. I experience no tension and have been styled before I leave with no discomfort. We talk about my ideas and she brings them to life. And she’s good company when you have to sit for hours. This is a beautiful establishment and as I’ve visited with most of the stylists at some point I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

I recently moved to area and it's was my birthday this pass weekend. I wanted to treat myself to a new style and was not pleased. The stylist was nice but had no clue what she was doing. They charged me a crazy amount for something I could have done at home just placed the wig on and that was it. I do not recommend save your money and practice on YouTube.

I made an appt for makeup and eyebrows because I had to attend a wedding in Durham, NC. I searched online and found Glamshe. I used the online system to book my appt.
I arrived at Glamshe and met Jaralyn, the on-site Esthetician. She was friendly, and personable. She explained her eyebrow preparation and took her time waxing, shaping, and sculpting my brows. She then moved on to my make-up. Jaralyn is meticulous and she takes her time with her work. My makeup was flawless and I received many compliments when I left Glamshe.

This was my first time ever going to this shop,.my first time ever getting my hair done in the state of NC and I am highly disappointed. I have a full sew in and my foundation braids are super big, bulky and can be seen and felt. My weave looks extremely thin even though I told the young lady I like the fuller look and if I had to get more hair I would. She said nothing and I still had hair left over when she finished. The look of disgust, dissatisfaction, displeasure was shown all over my face but the stylist didn't care. She got her money because she provided a service she was not concerned
