Our animal hospital offers wellness check ups, general surgeries, dental services, and emergency services. We are a fast paced, one doctor clinic, which often times results in extended wait times. While we make every attempt to keep appointment times consistent, often times, emergency situations arise and completely throw off our schedule.
Due to the recent surge in pet care demands, we are currently not accepting new clients at this time. We will resume accepting new pets and their owners as soon as conditions allow us. Because we are a one doctor practice, our ability to offer emergency after-hours services is sometimes limited. In such cases, we ask that you have a back up plan in place should an emergency arise that Dr. Shelnutt cannot respond to in a reasonable time frame.

Services
Laser Therapy offers your pet relief from aches and pains and allows your pet to heal faster after surgery or injury. It provides a non-invasive, pain-free, drug-free, and surgery-free option to increase comfort, decrease pain, decrease swelling and inflammation, and speed healing without medication side effects.
Our wellness programs are designed to prevent disease and prolong the lives of your companion animals. We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. Early diagnosis of illness can lead your pet to a longer, healthier life. Since our pets age quicker than us, regular exams are important to allow your veterinarian to evaluate your pet's overall health and become aware of any problems before they become serious illnesses.
It may seem like only yesterday that your pet was a playful puppy or curious kitten, but your pet's health needs change as they age. Just like humans, pets need to visit their doctors more often as they get older to keep them healthy. For senior pets, prevention is important. Arthritis, skin conditions, difficulty with hearing or vision, kidney disease, diabetes, hypothyroidism, and hyperthyroidism are common among senior pets.
Does your pet wear a collar and tag? What would happen if those were lost? Microchipping has become a popular and safe way to provide permanent identification that cannot be lost. A microchip is a small electronic chip about the size of a grain of rice placed under your pet's skin. It is injected easily with a needle similar to a vaccination needle.
We maintain a fully stocked pharmacy and can provide you with most common pet medications, including basic pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick prevention products, heartworm preventatives, and prescription diets. We are willing to write and call in prescriptions to the pharmacy or online-service of your choosing for medications not carried in-house.
