I have ate here before and didn't have an issue but this time it wasn't so good. No one asked me how I wanted to steak cooked and it came back and little hard chunks. It did not taste good at all. Also the portions were much much smaller oh. I've never gone to a Japanese restaurant and ever had a problem with portion size. The nobody even asked me if I needed a refill or anyting. I don't think I will be back unless they start doing a better job.

I've typically had positive experiences here. However, today my cooked sushi roll that I ordered xx crispy was well undercooked. I made the server aware. The sushi chef stated it was fine. I was charged for it and not offered a replacement. We will not be back.

I always love the food here, decent price, and they never forget any item I order. Being mid 2021, many food places still seem to be catching up after 2020 and are constantly forgetting an item or giving the wrong order. This place has never done that and always has constantly delicious dishes!

Try the shrimp tempura... anytime I’m within like 30 miles I drive here to get it, it’s fire. Staff is nice. Clean joint. Good place.

The tuna, avocado, and apple roll was something I never tried before. It was the first time I saw it listed anywhere. Being adventurous I had to try it. Totally getting it again, it was really good. The apple adds a crunch I didn't know was missing.
I also got the black tobiko sushi al a carte, I like that it came with 3 pieces instead of the normal 2 you get most places.
I was happy to be able to order online and pick up through the drive thru. Totally contactless.

Great Japanese restaurant! A great variety of sushi and dinner options allows the customer to have a new experience each time. Their response to COVID has been great as well, they have created a drive-thru system with very minimal contact. I strongly recommend the bento box combos.

If I could rate this a 0 star I would! It was a waste of 40$ the meat was spoiled and neither of my entrees were fresh. There are far better hibachis around here and I will never give my money to this place just to throw my food away. The only thing that was edible and I stress the word just edible was the sushi. The yummy sauce smelled like vinegar and tasted like it. The clear soup looked and tasted days old. The rice was hard and absolutely disgusting that I almost hurled. Then to top it off the meat had to be spoiled. Idk how in the world this place received good reviews with slop like that

Food was great and the presentation was beautiful, using sauces to make a unique display. The gyoza was perfectly done and the sauce was one of the best we've had. We loved the Volcano roll, had a perfect little kick to it.

Absolutely the best sushi hands down. Everything is incredibly fresh and authentic and the restaurant has a BEAUTIFUL atmosphere with soft music in the background. I can't scream enough about this place. I have found my new favorite restaurant. Get the tiger roll and green tea!

Pass. There are other, better hibachi grills and Japanese restaurants out there. The hibachi here is sub par as far as taste. You also get a smaller portion that is the same price, if not more, than other places. And you only get either the salad or soup, not both like is typical. Not to mention the "yum yum" sauce is pretty blah. Don't forgot the rap music playing - cause that's not weird for a hibachi place or anything. So, for less food that doesn't taste as good, and is the same price or more to the competition? Yup, that equals a pass.

Visited this Japanese restaurant and have to say I'm upset at the quality and taste of the food. Not only is the restaurant small and sort of dirty, but the food they give you is nothing compared to the other local hibachi restaurants. Don't waste your money here.

Great. Why did I never eat here before? Usual reasons. Must not be good. Doesn't look busy enough. Etc...

Friend of the wife said hey, lunch is great! So we stopped in. And it was. It is.

The salmon sushi was just perfect as well. I'm giving it five stars, for price, but mostly, location. I can get this quality of food, in the Marc's plaza?

Stunned, honestly stunned, at how good this food is. Bento box, granted, and salmon maki, but will be back soon to hit up the rest of the menu!

It's my favorite restaurant- and I hate picking favorites. It has become my wife and I's regulate date night location. It's cozy; easy to unwind and talk. With gentle, Japanese, instrumental music in the background, and wonderfully dim lighting, it's easy to embrace a moment of rest in the midst of an often busy and hectic life. Now, if I were to speak of the kindness and character of the staff, this would be sure to run on longer than any normal review ought, but to say the very least, they're sweet, intuitive, sincere, and overall lovely people. Not just as hosts, but as friends to mingle with

The place had a terrible odor. The hibachi salmon was ok. I ordered white tuna sashimi. The sushi "chef" and I use that term with hesitation, had absolutely no idea how to slice sashimi. The wait staff could tell that I was not satisfied and they made no attempt to find out why. I have tried this place once before and was not satisfied. I doubt I will ever be back.

The food was great for the price. Everything was fresh, the portions were great, and we were stuffed when we left for under $30. I've seen some negative reviews, but perhaps they're a little inconsistent then, because our experience was great. Definitely going back soon.

I've gone for sushi about 8 times now. I really am impressed with the rolls, sushi, and sashimi. A particular favorite of mine is the Salmon Lover's Combo. I do think some of the rolls may be a dollar or two over priced. But, these masks are delicious.

Extremely friendly service, both In dealing with carry out as well as dining in at the Sushi Bar.

Bottom Line: Good Stuff!!

I went when they opened and it was pretty good because everything was fresh. Now 4 months later they still have their grand opening sign in the front and the fish isn't all that fresh. It's not rancid or anything like that, but it go that distinctive fishy taste you can really tell when you order sushimi.

The rolls easily fall apart and the specials and combinations are not the great. If you want good sushi that tastes fresh that isn't too far check out Toko in Streetsboro. IMO all the sushi places around Youngstown are sub par.

I keep reading good reviews but I didn't think the food was very good.
First the menu was very hard to figure out so I settled on something that they called a "Box" for $8.99 that appeared to come with a salad.
What I got was some chicken crap over white rice.
I asked about the salad and they lady didn't understand I'm guessing because she kept pointing to the white rice.I'm thinking white rice might be Japanese salad?
Once we went to check out I was charged $12.99,which I tried to ask about but nobody understood.

Personally I won't go back.
And for the price
