The Takemusu Aikido Association is dedicated to the development and dissemination of Aikido based on the highest ideals of the Founder, Morihei Ueshiba, O-Sensei. The Association does this by continuing and promoting the Founder's traditional teaching and training methods as passed on by his longest direct disciple, Morihiro Saito, Shihan.
The Takemusu Aikido Association is an association of dojos, clubs, and individuals who have a common interest in Aikido. It functions for the mutual benefit of its members, serves as a center of support to its members, and promotes Aikido nationally and internationally. The Association is managed by a Board of Directors of Senior Instructors.

Services
Aikido was founded by Morihei Ueshiba (1883-1969). As an accomplished martial arts practitioner and instructor he continually sought new directions for his own personal training and development. This lead to his creation of a new martial art, aikibujutsu, in 1923. The name Aikido has been used since 1941.
A person who has trained with Saito Sensei has a dojo and seeks to join the Association. Contact the Senior Instructor and discuss your qualifications. Your dojo will be a member upon payment of the membership fee and confirmation by the TAA Board. A person with a dojo who has no previous connection with the Association or with Saito Sensei seeks to join.
Join us for our annual Holiday Seminar, including great training, dan tests, and party at the fantastic Aikido in Fredericksburg Dojo.
