We are a member of one of the world's largest martial arts organizations, the American Taekwondo Association. Taekwondo is an exciting and powerful martial art known for its dynamic kicking and hand techniques. Although these martial arts techniques are centuries old, our programs are always evolving to keep pace with the rapidly changing world.
The teaching curriculum at the ATA Martial Arts is based on two concepts: "positive mental attitude" and "setting high goals." We feel so positive about this program that we promise to give you and your family the most professional, well-supervised, and highest quality classes available in your community.

Great instructors! Mr Segal personally teaches most of the classes. All instructors are amazing with kids. Our oldest has been going since he was 5 and our other two younger children are doing great there also! Also, their camps are fun and wear out our kids too!
*****2020 update. My 5 yo is now 13 and a 2nd degree black belt! We are still so happy with Segal's ATA. Even with all of the added safety precautions they have weathered the pandemic and are going strong. I can't overstate how much of a positive influence they have had on our kids!

I went to ATA for four years. My older brother did real martial arts and then I found out that ATA is not a real martial art. I do Kenpo Karate now, and looking back, I see it as the worst self defense system ever! ATA's self defense are COMPLETELY WORTHLESS. When the head instructor tried bending my fingers to bring me down, it didn't work because she did not know how to do the pressure point. ATA does not show you how to actually fight. All they do is "point sparring", and they only let you hit 10-20% because they want to avoid lawsuits. When people go to ATA and say it&apos

We started our boys at 4. Have been going for about 8 months now. It would probably have been a little easier to start them at 4.5 or 5 yo. They go to preschool 3 days / week. We wanted them to learn how to do high-energy activities, but still be able to focus and listen to adults. I can't say enough great things about these instructors.
Everything is positive reinforcement and reward based. Listen carefully, you get a stamp on your hand. Follow instructions, a stamp. The stamps translate into tokens at the end of the class. The tokens translate into stars to put on your uniform

This is an excellent Taekwondo Martial Arts School for all ages! My daughter started here 6 years ago and now is a second degree black belt at age 15. This school and it's instructors are dedicated to helping kids develop their self-confidence, discipline among many other life skills. They not only focus on teaching kids valuable physical skills, such as self-defense, but also focus on the total individual. They cover life skills such as perseverance, integrity, goal setting, among others. They also value education and reward kids for good report cards and improvement in school and at home
