Sometimes teeth cleanings can be painful with the scaling and then spraying cold water on my sensitive teeth can send me up a wall. This was NOT my experience at Dove Dental Smiles. Dr. Shirley was very careful and took time to look my mouth over thoroughly. I have a couple of issues that I have been watching and really appreciated that she didn't want to just jump in and do major work, but would rather evaluate at the next check up.

Your teeth and surrounding structures is a mirror for overall health of your body. At Dove Dental Smiles we place strong emphasis on early detection and treatment of conditions such as tooth decay and gum disease. The gums, ligaments, and bone around the teeth form the foundation for one's teeth. All structures are also referred to as the periodontium.
Dove Dental and its staff are always a pleasure to work with and make going to the dentist a good healthy experience because they are professional and focused. They are time efficient so you can get on with your day. Also, Dr Shirley is so relational that you feel that you are a very special patient each time you go in.
At the first visit to the dentist, our goal is to consider all of your current conditions and determine the best course of treatment for the future. We typically prefer to not make the first appointment an actual restorative procedure (Example: Filling) since a diagnoses has not yet been made. The obvious exception would be an emergency.
If we have received all of your insurance information on the day of the appointment, we will be happy to file your claim for you. You must be familiar with your insurance benefits, as we will collect from you the estimated amount insurance is not expected to pay. By law your insurance company is required to pay each claim within 30 days of receipt.

I have been getting care from Dr. Irudayaraj since 2014, who is an exceptional dentist. She is very caring and passionate in providing the best service to patients, based on our whole family experience. She communicates treatment plans clearly and takes a holistic approach by working with relevant specialists. Though we were out from the area for a while, we recently reestablished her as our family dentist in spite of a significant commute to her practice. I would strongly recommend her to anyone who is looking for high-quality dental care.
