As Principal of Brockway Law in Santa Rosa, California, my practice includes estate planning, wills and trusts, trust and estate litigation, trust and estate administration and probate matters. When a client walks in, sits down, and says, "I just want what's right, " that is my cue to stay quiet and keep listening.
Clients come to Brockway Law wanting reassurance that we hear their voice and that their intentions are honored; therefore, listening is an essential part of our practice. Because our practice is exclusively in trusts and estates, I understand it's tough to think about what happens if you become unable to take care of yourself and the impact on loved ones after a person passes away.
The goal of estate planning documents is to avoid the time, cost, and personal toll that litigation takes. However, legal action is necessary in some situations. Only through litigation is it possible to fully assert your rights or defend yourself against others' attacks.
