Services
Our passion is taking care of people and their pets. It shows in everything we do at our practice. We provide personalized attention, and quality veterinary care. We take pride in the fact the we are a small family veterinary practice. It allows us to give our patients individualized care and attention.
Dr. Miller was born and raised in New York City. He attended the University of Florida in Gainesville for his undergraduate coursework. In his third year at UF, he was accepted early into the Royal School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh, Scotland. Edinburgh, famous for cloning "Dolly" the sheep, is one of the oldest and most highly recognized veterinary schools in the world.
Preventative medicine is important when our pets are young, but as our pets age, and become prone to certain disease processes, annual exams and blood work become even more critical. We will work with you to develop a health plan that is right for the specific needs of your senior pet. Nutrition, exercise and the prevention of common problems through regular exams are all ways to help your senior pet stay healthy.
At Merritt Animal Clinic, you can expect state of the art medical care for your pets. We believe in enriching the human-animal bond through personalized veterinary care. You can expect to be greeted by a courteous receptionist, clean exam rooms, friendly doctors, and caring technicians. We consider the role we get to play in your pet's health care a privilege.
When your pet boards with us, it gets the same level of care that our hospitalized patients get. Boarding at our practice is an advantage over other boarding facilities, because our staff knows your pet and its medical history. If your pet needs special attention or medication it will be done. Our staff members have a higher level of training and experience that can be obtained only by working at a veterinary hospital.

Receptionist Nikki greets you with a smile. The staff are extremely gentle with our animals and Dr. Miller is no nonsense and to the point. Usually that approach would turn me off but it is obvious Dr. Miller cares deeply about our animals as well as every animal at the clinic. We have finally found our vet clinic for all FIVE of our four babies. 😊

Outstanding office. We came to Tavares for the Winter and our fur baby developed a cough. We were terrified that it might be a heart problem. We couldn't have found a better place to bring our precious family member! Although we were new to the practice they made us feel so welcome and like we had been coming there forever! The care we received was excellent and our baby fully recovered. We highly recommend Dr. Miller and his staff. If you are looking for someone who truly cares for his patients you will be very happy and fortunate to have Dr. Miller and his staff caring for your pet!
