Growing up on a Midwestern farm in Iowa was the beginning of my love for animals. I always knew veterinary medicine was my calling. As far back as I can remember, people told me I had a caring way with animals. And it is very gratifying to have realized the dream of making a difference in the life of our beloved pets.
For many years my husband and I have shared our home with dogs. During those years I have dealt with many vet offices. There is none finer than Lake Square Animal Hospital in Leesburg Florida! The hospital itself is attractive, comfortable and well equipped. Dr. Gunderson is a topnotch vet. We had a sick 10 week old Golden that we just adopted during the holidays. Jo Ann was gracious to get Isla in and Dr. Gunderson took his valuable time to examine our lil pup. He taught me how to care for her as she grows. He's gentle, calm, and kind. So is his staff (Roberta and Rachel). Thank You!

Dr Gunderson and his staff are fantastic! His examination of our furbabies are thorough...more so than any previous veterinarian. Additionally, the visit is not rushed but instead time taken to review any issues found, discussion of/questions asked and answered. Then a recommended treatment plan is clearly provided. My Westie and Shih Tzu are in excellent hands! Highly recommend!

Excellent clinic. Dr. Gunderson and his staff are very caring and ensure your pet is care with the highest professional care from the moment you arrive until you leave. They always do a follow up call the next day after a visit to check on your pet's health. Dr Gunderson is an excellent veterinarian and I feel confident on his diagnosis.

Been caring for our pets for several years. Our first poodle became quite Sick and the doctor even took him home and nurse him back to health but he passed that night in his arms He was sick from shortly after birth and the doctor saved then but 7 years later he could not. To this day he still mentions that dog by name. He passed in 2010

Dr. Gunderson and his staff are very caring and professional. He has taken care of our many cats for over ten years. We recently had to say goodbye to our oldest girl. We deeply appreciate their care and understanding at our moment of grief. We look forward to Dr Gunderson’s professional care and golden heart with our remaining six cats.
