Outside of being extremely noisy, (music good but too loud, so guests had to shout in order to be heard) this was a wonderful dining experience. Our waiter was the manager who had to pull double duty because of the manpower shortage, but was very helpful, efficient, and kept a great disposition. Food was more than exceptional and was better than most fine and much more expensive dining. Will go back if we ever revisit Newport.

We had a birthday dinner for my daughter..soo much fun. Great food and wine. We loved the Vino bar and entertainment. Amazing staff from server, singer, owner, we didn't leave until closing time. We live locally and most definitely will bring our friends and family who visit from out of town here. Marvelous place!!

I hosted a family farewell dinner here for 9 guests. I only see my cousins once a year so the event mattered. Let me start by saying the food was very good, fresh and homemade, and the owner personally intervened to correct the several issues we had. But the challenges impacted the evening. 1) wrong wine was opened and presented. I wanted to be kind so i accepted it and added a third bottle of the one i really wanted. Then I wasn't asked to taste it first - the server asked “who wants to try it?” down at the other side of the table. Sparkling water was forgotten, then we never received bread

Dog friendly patio! So excited to finally try Vieste & it did not disappoint! Sat on the patio for dinner and the server brought out water for our dog. She was friendly & explained the specials. We started with the Burrata which was fresh & delicious. For entrees we had the Pasta Bolognese & the Sea striped bass special. Definitely will be coming back!

Did a quick Google search to see what was open at 9pm on a Saturday night as we headed home after visiting a state park & Viesta popped up. We were 15 minutes away & read some nice reviews so that’s where we headed. Got a patio table & ordered food & wine Quick service, polite & helpful wait staff & within 15 minutes we were digging into our delicious food. I loved the Penne con Rabe with sausage I ordered but loved my daughter’s more. The Cavatelli Calabrese alla Putanesca with shrimp was so good! Unfortunately the photo I took of the dish came out blurry!

The BEST!!!! Before we get to the food...Pietro the chef is kind and talented, and Rossibel is a vivacious, hustling, sweetheart. It was like we were family, and it was our first visit. The food is nothing short of SPECTACULAR. We ate the Bocce meatball without taking a picture. It was easily enough for 2-3 people to share. The risotto with shaved BLACK TRUFFLES was to DIE FOR. The lasagne and ravioli with mushroom broth was divine. Lovely wine selection. The tiramisu and chocolate whatever it was were scrumptious. All that plus the ambiance! A great new addition to the Newport restaurant scene, Vieste serves up some truly great dishes in a fresh traditional Italian way. The chicken parmesan was a juicy tender generous serving with a nice crunchy coating with an excellent tomato marinara made from fresh ripe tomatoes and herbs that really made the dish stand out. The tomato sauce was definitely one of the best I have had. The pesto spaghetti was also excellent with a nice balance of fresh garlic, basil, parm and pine nuts combined with a good quality olive oil. The striped sea bass was cooked perfectly and served on a lovely mixed greens
