He moved to Los Angeles in 1995. He trained and taught in Dosan Taekwondo where many national level competitors were born. His talent earned him such high profile clients as the Ozzy Osbourne family and the Lionel Richie family in Beverly Hills. He is the current Texas Varsity Team Coach. He led them to capture the gold medal for Texas at the 2108 USA Nationals.
Also, he has led HK Taekwondo's Performance Team since 2013. He created many International, National and State Champions. HK Taekwondo is the home of many competitors that represent the State of Texas and many Members of current Team USA. Ronika has a BS in Nutritional Science from The University of Texas, is a registered dietitian and is pursuing all of the latest research on optimal taekwondo nutrition.

HK Tae Kwon Do is an amazing place for children to learn good disciplines and hand/eye coordinations. My two boys have been coming here for almost a month and they love coming to class. They have already grown in learning to listen, being respectful to each other and being interactive with other kids through games and martial arts fundamentals like kicking, punching and stretching.
The youth program helps positively prepare children for a competitive world. By teaching our youth cause (hard work) and effect (excelling in life) we instill principals that will guide them through grade school, college and beyond. Training at HK Taekwondo helps kids understand why it is important not to give up.
In 2021 HK Taekwondo was proud to introduce our Taekwondo Apprentice Program. Our young students who want to learn more about running a studio, being an instructor, or learning about responsibility have joined our program. They are introduced to basic business practices, studio upkeep, and basic instruction skills.

HK Tae Kwon Do instructors came to my son’s birthday party to give the kids a tae kwon do lesson. They did a wonderful job! The kids all really enjoyed learning some kicks and punches and also about the importance of using their voice to show strength. The instructors were very kind and also did a great job of keeping a bunch of five year olds in line and engaged. I also really appreciate how easy HKTKD was to work with when scheduling the event. Based on this interaction it’s clear this is a wonderful tae kwon do school!

We LOVE HK Taekwondo. My daughter was hesitant and nervous the first day, even to the point of tears. Master Kim took her and did some one on one time to get her comfortable and confident. And here we are a month later and she looks forward to class each week. To watch her grow in her confidence has been truly remarkable. The instructors are kind yet firm and truly invested in developing these kids a whole individuals not just in their taekwondo abilities. Highly recommend!

We have been attending classes for four days a week over the last three months. Master Kim, Master Justin, and Master Ramsey are fantastic instructors. They have been instrumental in taking my son's taekwondo skills to the next level while keeping the atmosphere fun for all students. We couldn't be happier with our choice to study with HK Taekwondo

My son has been attending HK TaeKwonDo for over 3 years and it's been amazing. The instructors are great with the kids and do an amazing job teaching discipline, exercises and having fun. My last review was over 8 years ago. My 8 year old daughter is attending now. She does after school and TKD classes. This studio is still amazing. Master Kim and the other instructors are superb and great with the kids. My daughter loves going and even she's noticed what great condition she is in. She's happy to be there. I'm happy she's there. And I would recommend HK to anyone. Especially to families.

My son previously trained with another after school program, but we were not satisfied. HK Taekwondo so far has been above and beyond better. Ms. Jennifer and the after school teachers are all very positive and exhibit great communication with the kids. No screaming at kids like the other place. Master Kim and the other instructors are great at balancing hard work, respect, and discipline while keeping classes fun. I can already see a huge difference in my son's ability to stay light on his feet and strike. I like that many of Master Kim's current and previous students are champions in the sport
