I was a patient at Springtree, after breaking my back. It is lovely, and clean. BUT, way understaffed. Very few nurses, and certainly not enough to meet the needs of the number of paiients. My back wound became infected, due to lack of care. The assistants were just as nice as they could be, but could not take the place of nurses.
The best part of my stay there was the wonderful physical therapist I had. His name was Joe; I'm afraid I don 't remember his last name, but he could not have been any better!
Do not be fooled by the lovely grounds, and nice buildings; they do not have

I am greatly disappointed this evening when attempting to telephone my mother but being placed on hold with no one speaking with me to help with my very polite request. Surely the medical staff are aware of the psychological impact a phone call has on an elderly patient. Perhaps Medicare needs to investigate this inhumane practice.

IF YOU HAVE AN ELDERLY LOVED ONE DO NOT SEND THEM HERE. The reviews don't lie. This place is the most unprofessional and insensitive place I've ever stepped into. The people who greet you in the front are extremely rude and all have a horrible attitude, ESPECIALLY the ones at the middle desk.. The TV is about 20 inches and it goes blank every 2 minutes until you click the remote. You have to verbally yell to get a nurse and when you do, its about 30 minutes later if you're lucky. I had a horrible incident where my uncle had a BM (bowel movement) after calling for the nurse, to assist

This place was a nightmare & I pulled my husband out after 6 days & got a private caretaker due to his complication from knee replacement surgery by Dr. Berkowitz. I told Rehab repeatedly that he falls out of bed & they did not protect him & yes he fell out injuring both elbows. They bath him using very cold wipes and he would scream. I ask them to warm them but they said they couldn’t do that. The food was absolutely the worst. And most of the staff seemed very cold & uncaring.

I was physically abused in this center. An LPN walked into my room said she came to change my dressing. Then struck me 3 times on my incision. I had 5 cervical disc fused together she dislodged the restraining Collier that I had on . I believe she thought base f on my appearance that I was unable to verbalize what was happening to me and the fact that I had been admitted to the long termed area of the Center. It was and still is being covered up by the staff. Including the Administrator. The moment I said it was abuse the Sunrise Police were called. I have been discouraged on every level including

They're constantly having positive Covid cases for the residence and staff. ...their brochure will tell you "they care" how is that possible when they only have 47 TV channels ...that is absolutely pitiful. Mental health is just as important as physical! I'm writing this in winter so they're locked in 24/7 there's nowhere to go, nothing to do except hallway bingo a couple of days a week.... the staff has to cut their hair... if it's at all possible have your loved one get hospice care in the facility there... At least they have a large corporation to answer to when caring for them.

Do not entrust your loved ones to this facility. My mother was admitted there after a brief hospital stay as she was a little unsteady when walking, she died less than two weeks later because of neglect. The only reason I am giving it 1 star is because of the aides & some of the P/T staff... they seemed to care. Take your loved ones home especially if they are elderly or have dementia & apply to have in home rehab if possible. My mother acquired pneumonia while she was there & staff did very little to address the issue even though I insisted for days before that something was not right

HORRIBLE care!!! Run the other direction!! My 82 year old mother fell and has a small pelvis fracture, was there for 7 days we requested to have her discharged because we experienced a number of issues. My mother is of course unable to move on her own & had to go both #1 & #2 while in bed. She was left unattended for 30-40 plus minutes while soiled!! Even with her children there pressing the nurse call button still would take easily over 30 minutes to get any attention. When they would finally come in to clean her, It was done with an attitude and would be hurt while they were just

As a healthcare professional, I'm honored to provide favorable/positive feedback on the excellent & professional care my sister received during her stay at the Rehab Facility. We have nothing but praise & gratitude to the staff, from the CNAS,nurses, doctors,Social Worker, nutritionist, & the best physical and occupational therapists. My sister's treatment & overall experience there was excellent. The immediate care and rehab services she received there prepared her for the continuity rehab she needed @ home. Highly recommend this Rehab Facility. The facility is clean, excellent food, friendly/professional

The administrators and staff did a excellent job during Hurricane Irma. The facility was well prepared before, during and after the storm. They had generators to keep power when needed and my mother felt safe through the storm. You can't imagine how comforting it is knowing that your loved ones are safe during these times.

My father has been a resident of Springtree for over 2 yrs. The staff is very helpful and kind to him. He enjoys the many activities, bingo and especially Bingo Auction. He participates in the exercises classes, the music entertainment and likes that he can go out to the courtyard as the sun is what brought him to Miami some 68 years. The meals are very nutritional and we get to share a meal with him every Sunday night. The facility is very clean and fresh. We feel the compassion from the staff and you sense that they love their profession and it reflects in their level of care.

Both of my parents have received nursing care at Springtree Rehab and I have been employed here over 23 years. Honestly this is a wonderful place for your loved ones. The nursing staff is competent and caring coupled with the best physical, occupational and speech therapy services. The administrator, DON and many of the staff share longevity which is evident in this well run facility. The medical doctors come in often and also keep in close contact via telephone with nursing. The wholesome and nutritious food is Kosher and most items are made from scratch. Springtree will surpass your expectations

My Dad was at Springtree for almost 2 years, first in the rehabilitation unit and then in the longterm care unit . The staff was very attentive and always there when needed. They made him feel so comfortable and that was so important to our family. He enjoyed the food and the kitchen even took special requests from him, which was truly wonderful, as he loved his food! Our overall experience at Springtree was great, they communicated with us and always kept us in loop as far as my Dad's health care needs and wants. My mother was brought to Springtree Rehab at the beginning of September. Despite reading less than flattering reviews, we visited the facility, met with staff, toured the facility and decided to put her there for rehab. Her treatment there and overall experience was excellent. When it became apparent that she could not return home, we were fortunate to have worked with the knowledgeable and caring administration at Springtree and found her a fabulous room on the long-term care side. Her care has been excellent. The staff is dedicated and caring and more than competent and, best of all, there is

Below is an excerpt of the complaint I submitted to the BBB:

Much to my consternation, my sister unexpectedly called me at approximately 1205 on 16 June 2016 to inform me that my mother was released from Springtree Rehabilitation, placed in taxi, and dropped off at the entrance of my sister's condominium. To exacerbate the matter, my mother had to walk in the heat to get into the building, which is not a short distance. Fortunately, there was a Good Samaritan who gave her as much help as possible as she made her way to the building. I specifically asked AN UN-NAMED staff to inform me

If it was possible to give this place zero stars, I would. My mother was sent there after knee replacement. What a hell hole. By 9 the next morning, she was already on the phone with her doctor to get the OK to be released and go home. First off, the bed, if that's what you call it, was atrocious. I've slept on cots that were more comfortable. Furniture was old and nicked. But this is an example of the incompetence. While we were waiting for the release paperwork, the nurse came in to give my mom her meds. My mom asked what one was and she said "Plavix". I knew she

Rehab was good, competent personnel and good equipment.
There were a few good CNA's but the grave yard shift (11-7) is sparse and wait time for a patient to obtain help is excruciating.
Nurses are overburdened with patients but do the best that they can.
It was obvious that money was the motivator here and not patient comfort and care.
Investigate carefully before you admit your loved one here.

Stay far away from this Horrible Place!! My father-in-law was brought there last night by ambulance, from a major hospital, still recovering from pneumonia. Not only were they non-responsive to his needs, they neglected to give him his meds! This man is 94 and a diabetic, still with pneumonia. If you take all of the unfriendliest people in South Florida that hate their jobs, you will find them at Springtree Rehabilitation Center. No one smiles, they do not want to carry on a conversation with you and they are extremely rude. Every time I have approached the desk to ask a question or speak to someone, they do not give you the courtesy of looking up from their computer to answer you. This is how they treat family, the way they treat the patients is awful. They do not care about their concerns and they certainly do not give their patients the attention and care that they need. My Mother was a patient of Tamarac Rehab which is owned and operated by the same corporation as Springtee Rehab, Nuvision Management of Fort Lauderdale Fl. Three years ago my Mother was in the Tamarac facility and left with a balance of under $300.00 unbeknownst to anyone, in they were sending the invoice to an incorrect address. When she needed care again for a broken hip she was refused admittance until the bill was paid in full. I understood in that they are there to make money. Once again she needed care for yet another fracture, and was refused a bed a Springtree due to the same $300.00 which
